And, just like that the phone rings. Surgery unsuccessful, valve still leaking, and they had to stop. Tomorrow she will have to decide if she wants them to try an alternate approach and put a secondary valve in. Her emphysema is getting to be rather progressed so no cracking the chest cavity for her. She just isn't strong enough. Yup, just a real sucky day, I'm going to have a drink...

That sucks.

Hopefully things go better.

Drink until you forget, or can't remember. It will help today, but tomorrow comes. I'm dealng with this also, but with a good friend. Best of luck to you, loss is loss, and its hard to deal with.

Tracking says it's been picked up 3 days ago, but then nothing, it's just sitting there.

Just got some good news from my brother! My mothers surgery went well today, and they placed a second valve on top of the replacement valve. Leakage is 50% less than before, and they can go in and fiddle around with the one they put in today later if it doesn't seat in like they want it to. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers
