I really hate that Microsoft feels that the world needs to use Windows 10. Guess I'm not computer savvy enough to make a decision for myself. :-x

By the way, the first person to tell me to switch to a Mac, dies. :)
If you're using Windows 8 or 8.1, I would switch. I find it a lot easier to use. It's a lot like Windows 7, to me. Also the update is free for awhile. I had no problems updating any of the computers I have done.

I did the upgrade a couple months back, from7. It was a huge difference in how things look and feel to me. 10 has the appearance that it is better suited to touchscreen or combo type devices. I've also been experiencing a lot of glitches lately, and having the desktop lock up and be un-responsive.

Jackie had a $2,000 MacBook and turned it in for a Windows laptop. Had it for 4 years and couldn't take it anymore, she hated it. My sister had a Mac desktop delivered to me for Christmas. I took it back to Best buy and had them credit her account. NO THANKS!

I put Win 10 on one of my laptops, an the only reason I did that was because the laptop had failed Win 8 already on it.
Win 10 is a failed attempt to be Android. Like most Microsoft software, they took some other companies software, added a bunch of spyware and stamped the Win logo on it.
Smartphones and Tablets are out selling PC's and Laptops, so they needed a software to adapt. :?:
The Future is Touchscreens...

I shut down Cortana, their cloud, file sharing, and all the spyware I could find on it.

I've had 10 on my laptop for months now. It's okay, nothing spectacular. What I don't like is being forced to use it on the rest of the PCs. There will no longer be any support for the other OS' and eventually it will force the update and it always picks the worse times. So, I chose the time.

It's meant for mobile devices, and it's fine on my laptop. I, however, get no benefit from it being on my PC.

I got Win 7 OEM on my main. And I Deleted and Blocked the Win 10 upgrade ;)
The nice thing about using the OEM version is that I get to pick what software's run on it.
I don't think they can stop me from using Win 7
But what I do know is Windows 10 will never see this computer ;)

I had blocked the "update" from all the PCs, but that doesn't work. It was reported on the news that there is going to be no more support for IE, and all Windows versions prior to 10, and the update will eventually be forced. Once installed, you can still use IE, Firefox, or Chrome. To me the whole thing is more of a nuisance than anything.

I got 4 years to figure something else out :)

End of support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance. This is the time to make sure you have the latest available update or service pack installed. Without Microsoft support, you will no longer receive security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can steal your personal information. For more information go to Microsoft Support Lifecycle.

Windows 7 * Service Pack 1 End of mainstream support January 13, 2015 - End of extended support January 14, 2020

Windows lifecycle fact sheet - Windows Help

And by 2020, Win 10 will be coming to end!

Is it possible to un-install Win 10 and re-install 7 ?
