I had a Reo like 3 years ago, but decided squonking was not for me, so I sold it. I think my issue was at the time my building skills were poor. I want to give it another try, but I don't build at all anymore. The Kanger Dripbox has replaceable coils, and it's cheap.

I know most of the squonkers here have much better stuff, but has anyone tried the Dripbox?

It's different - it's definitely no replacement for a Reo. But as an inexpensive (under $20 somewhere, I saw) way to try squonking, it's a good buy.

Good:
  • it's a squonker!
  • Innovative tube setup - so far, not leaking
  • Compact
  • Simple enough to be reliable
  • I kind of like the battery door solution - it adjusts to different batteries
  • Basically mechanical, but with some kind of protection and on/off feature
Not-so-Good:
  • Juice bottle flap cover, held on by magnets, people lose them...
  • It's not quite truly mechanical, and I can tell by the vape...Can't explain this, but it's true
  • THE ATTY - I know you wanted it for the replaceable coil/deck...but it's just not a really well-designed atty. It's too big, it's too tall, the airholes aren't in the right place...
So there you have it - I'd buy one, but I'd also buy a better atty.
I suck at building...but I got good ENOUGH to build coils that make me happy.
Even if you definitely aren't going to build, it's still probably worth a shot at this low a price...but you won't reach the potential of a squonker for flavor with the Kanger atty...

Thank you for all the good info. :)

I didn't even know this existed until I saw Phil's video on it (yeah I'm way behind on my video viewing). It's cheap, and I don't have high expectations here. Due to arthritis in my hands, I can wrap the coil, but I can't mount it to save my life. So, I thought I'd give squonking a second chance and see if my opinion is different from before. If so, then I'll go buy a Reo and a good atty (that someone else can build for me).

I'm thinking I'll wait though until Memorial Day sales. :)

@serenity21899 I am just starting to explore squonking with a REO. I like to try different styles and am very concerned about the future.

I have many mods in my collection, including mechs, so I'm set for a lifetime already. :) Since I sold my Reo, it's been in the back of my mind to give it another shot some day. Gonna start cheap, and see where it goes this time.

As George Carlon once said... "Beets are one of the most underrated vegetables in the world.... Beets. Beets. Beats me."

I friggin love me some beets. Only 1-2 times a year though.
