In post #18 of the Walrus' Mad Vapor juice review thread in the e-liquid reviews subforum, Enfield said (in part):
However, I (and, I suspect I'm not alone in this) am enjoying vaping far outside the mere satisfation of nicotine craving. In fact, most of the time I vape 0 nicotine levels. "Throat hit" is nice ... every hour or so (for me). But most of the time, simply sucking on a (magic) wand, inhaling appealing flavors, and blowing out "smoke" is immensely pleasurable.
And, without working at it, my snacking
has dropped off considerably. [For the record: Im not fat, just a few pounds overweight.] I'm eating for nourishment and to satisfy hunger ... and to indulge in flavors not yet available in e-cigs, e.g., steak, pizza, bacon & eggs, moo shu pork, shrimp scampi, etc., etc. <-- Get on the stick, e-liquid brewers!
Even beyond weight loss, I see great potential for the PV as a powerful, yet innocent ... pleasure device. [And, yes, 'PV' rather than 'e-cig,' in this context.] How many people would truly savor this marvelous invention?! [Actually an Asian-Western community of inventions.]
I know that any marketing, publicity or advocacy to this effect needs to proceed with caution. We don't want to trigger any red flags with the FDA, the moralistic majority, or the PTA. But this might bear some discussion.

Smoke-free and vaping for all of 12 days now ... haven't saved any money yet
... but having fun!
I think Enfield is really on to something here. Thus far, vaping has been aimed entirely at analog cigarette smokers (which used to include me).... I wonder if vaping sweet flavors can reduce one's cravings to *eat* sweets. That would definitely make the New York Time's Bestseller List: "The Vape-Your-Way Thin Diet".
