After months of debating, I finally purchased my first REO over a year ago. Yes, I've had numerous tubular Mods, Carto's, tanks, etc. My first vape with the REO, and nothing else and no other vaping device ever touched my lips again. Now, if I can only stop buying REO's, and rba's, LOL.

REO mods...Simplicity at it's best! :vapor:

I dunno. I see all those people with round tooby mods fretting and fussing over materials, and voltage drop, and switch designs, and replacing atty after atty after atty looking to fix something they aren't happy with all the time.

When I got my first Reo a "funny" thing happened: I just stopped using anything else. Didn't think about it, didn't go through weeks of comparing a Reo to this, that or the other thing. The Reo design spoke for itself. My vaping experience followed it.

I've only had mine for a week. I've had the habit for a long time of looking at new mechanical mods coming out, most recently have been keeping my eye out for the SMPL mod or the Trinity mod on calivapers because they both offer mods that have no top cap, no modular threading, & are just 510 threaded with simple threaded switches.

But the hunt isn't the same anymore. With this Reo in my hand, another purchase of a mechanical mod seems pointless, despite how beautiful some of them may look, they offer very little practical benefits. In our case, they offer nothing but whatever aesthetics can be applied to a tube. The hunt is no longer the same and I can't look at other mechanical mods with the same enthusiasm as I once did. :(

I guess my vape budget will now be spent on Reo related products. :D

Out of curiousity, for the long time Reo users who are familiar with what I'm experiencing, have you also lost the need to look at other types of devices? If you do own and use other devices, what situations do you prefer them for?

The only setup I've seen recently that intrigued me into making other purchases was a novelty setup like this.

Edit: All my mechs including my fogger V4's and Kayfun Clones are now sitting in a shoe box. lol

I can certainly understand your view. I've spent hundreds on devices trying to get a good and reliable vape. I almost purchased 3 more RSST tanks. But I realized I wanted to do more dripping and began looking into the Reo Grand. I don't have one yet, but I'm working on it. Glad I didn't buy 3 more RSST's because that's $75 towards the purchase of my Reo Grand. I'm wising up now, and realize just because it's new, doesn't mean it will satisfy you.

I will be coming to Reoville soon. Just waiting on the plane to land (so to speak). Within the next month, I will have one.
Screw all the rest! I'm going with the best!

Keep in mind too that a Reo is uniquely different from a standalone RDA so it can actually bring something different to the table. There is a point - and a good one - to bottom feeding an atty. The current trend I see on ECF is the "What's the biggest..." regarding what RDA has the biggest juice well, has the largest capacity. (At some point they are turning into RTA's all over again. Might as well just get a genny.) That has the potential to bring all sorts of problems to the table with getting the wicking right, feeding it, leaking, heating and cooking larger and larger quantities of juice standing in the RDA, etc.

You, simply, don't have any of that going on with a Reo - and can still do it all down to 0.2 ohm if you must. And do it with only one hand even. For hours. Without looking. It is very different than run of the mill mechanicals - in a good way.

I stopped watching videos. I stopped looking for other mods. It feels nice to finally have the one but there is a slightly accompanying sadness of not having any interest in any new mod coming out. But what had caught my eyes are new atomizers. I still find myself looking at new atomizers and wondering "can it be a BF?" I do wish more makers would start making more BF atties. Seems like the only ones that appear anymore are giant cloud chasing ones (not that I mind they just won't work on a reo) now most of my time has gone to trying new coil builds and trying to figure out what produces the best flavours. I went from a cloud chaser to to a flavour chaser.

(By the by does anyone else wish rip and grimmgreen would do a follow up review of the REO. they have ones but they are quiet old)

Don't forget to watch the blems page, you never know what might pop up there, could shave a few days off your wait :)

Guess im the odd man out of this bunch....im still hunting for new mods......from Reosmods.com that is :vapor:

I too spent hundreds on tubes, spent hours watching/reading reviews. Then I got my first Grand and my other gear disappeared. One by one they all went to other vapers or on the classifieds. Some were actually traded for my second Grand.

I've lost interest in anything else pretty much entirely. Though i'll occasionally skim through a few reviews just to stay up to date on where vaping is headed and new tech, but if none of it relates to or is compatible with my Reo then theres no interest.

Same with me as well, was always looking at the next mod or dripper to hit the market. I honestly can't remember the last time I even visited a vape related website other than reosmods, the ECF, or my juice vendor. Reos all day everyday for me. I use to play around with different coil builds as well, was always trying the newest coil out, I would rebuild at least once every day or two. That stopped as well when I got the Reo. Now its nothing but microcoils with either twisted 26g or single standed 24g. The consisity and quality of the vape is what I'm about now and I love it.

I've never even considered any other mod. It's approaching two years since I got my first REO (I've owned 9) and the only other mod I got in that time frame was another feeder made by a friend. I have no desire for any other mods and looking at tube mods makes me queasy.

The cool thing about REOvil is when your looking at REO pictures and someone walks behind you and sees your phone screen, they won't think your browsing a dildo catalog.

I loved looking at new things & thinking about whether this or that would be a good device for me. But ever since getting my REOS it hasn't been what it once was. No point in even considering any other mech because A. I hate bottom fire button devices which pretty must eliminates most of them & B. I just don't think any of them will perform as well as my REO so what's the point.

I just went on vacation with my family & for vape gear had my battery charger, 1 extra battery, a bottle of eliquid & my REO with RM2 (and a backup atty in case my coil failed. but of course it didn't & that's why I freakin love RDAs). Everything worked perfectly & there was no fiddling with a tank or an atty or some connection or leaking or any other annoying nonsense. When I find another mod that can do that for me I will probably consider adding it to my small collection of vape gear.

I guess REOS have caused me to have really high standards when it comes to buying new gear so shopping just isn't what it used to be.

Well one of the super long time REO users here .........

Let me tell ya about back in 2009 & 2010 ....... Vaping had to be a hobby and you had to be committed to making it work or it just wouldn't work with the equipment available.

Things were progressing quickly though so I had the mindset of always trying out the newest things .....

Nov 2010 got my first REO .......

Purchased and sold thousands $$ worth of gear since then ......

Right now I have 5 REOs

2 Tubes I haven't touched all year
Couple genny tanks havent touched either.

I still look at everything ...... but pretty sure I'll never buy anything else.
