Yes....The threads sound crunchy. The atty's I have will not sit flush at all. I have read about some gaps and to use an O-ring, but this is a larger gap than an o-ring can solve. I'm at work, but will get a picture this weekend.

Does it fire at all? Highly possible since the threads are ruff that it's just not all the way on.

A good way to break in the threads is to turn it to where it tightens and then back it off.. tighten the atty again and back it off.. ea time you should get the atty to get farther in the threads as you break in the threads..

Just dont turn it too hard at once or it may get stuck on their! Use an older atty you dont care too much about just encase you need to grab a plyers to get it off

Take it off every other attempt and blow out the 510 connector to remove any loose metal from the threads.

This is if the mod does not fire. Cause if it fires with the center grub screw all the 2ay in then the atty is bottoming out in the 510 and the while 520 connection is not pushed in deep enough.

A pic would let us know if the 510 connection is seated too high.

I've only had this issue once many years ago but it wasnt due to the reo threads but the atty threads.. other worked fine.

Glad you'll be around!
Gotta be able to post and share somewhere on ecf, yes? Else, how would I happily let everyone know if these new bottles actually work in the 2.1s? :)
I have a few different silicone bottles arriving today or tomorrow,. The silicone one I'm using now is good but a tad small,, but very easy to work with

Fat rubber bands from broccoli work great for getting stuck atties off

Cool beans! I'm interested to hear how yours work out. And I'd love to know how you found a silicone bottle that's too small - my problem has been the opposite in the quest for the "ultimate" 2.1 bottle!

Here's the final line-up...

final8-a1.jpg

Also got a brass door and button for the minis, so I can switch it up...Could make a black/white setup, or a red/brass setep with my new toys.

Is that a boomstick reaper on the red w/black door in the front there? And if so, do you like it?

Yes it is, and yes I do - enough that i bought couple more of them! Easy build, tiny for flavor, and just enough air for me. I'm a bit of an oddball, and like "lightly restricted" - often running "flavor atties" but wide open :).

One has a slightly loose cap - not sure if it's different by color (it's the black one) or just a coincidental thing, but likely will be fixed with an o-ring.

I'm excited now - just pulled the trigger on one yesterday! I wanted something with a bigger chamber than my origen littles to go on the 2.1s. How short on flavor are they? Is it dependent on the juice you're using or is it just generally? Sounds like our styles are somewhat similar, so your advice is greatly appreciated.

Damn. Out of all of my new reos the red brilliant grand and hold vein grand both have messed of 510 threads!

On the red I can just start it and thats it.. on the gold vein maybe half a turn.

The sucky part is.. here I'm giving advise basically stating to re tap the threads using an atty.. turn it on and off and it should clean up the threads till fully seated..

Here I cant even do it! Most of my attys have press on tops that will just spin so i can turn it on tight!

Older attys are just cheap steel and not strong stainless steel like on the reo so all I'm doing is re tapping the threads on the atty and not effecting the threads on the reo!

:/

I dont have cheap attys to use! Just rare stuff that I wouldnt dare get stuck on the reo.

I tried one but seems like it's just going on a little crooked so if I go for it all forsure get it stuck.

:/

I had to pull everyone out and test ea mod.. the green grand I have running as of tonight had ruff threads but it went on no prob so eventually they will smooth out with use.

Oh, I meant "they are tiny, so they're good for flavor," lol.
I liked the Origen littles, too - but moved away a while back for more airflow...though I should probably pull one out, as I kind of go back and forth a bit on that lately...

Would the older single coil tanks work? I have a couple in my "I'll probably never use this" box. You're welcome to them if it'll help. They are Protanks, I think.

Thanks.. bit I have a few of those as well and to hard to use as the mid section can just freely turn.

I'll take a thread tap of the right size! Haha

Most likely gona have to be returned to Eric for the expert to fix it with the right thread tsp I suppose.

Both mods perfect and mint so it for real hurts.

Haha! I totally misread that part about the flavor. I stuck one of my OLs on a topside the other day for kicks. Didn't Beetlejuice get his head shrunk but not his body? That's what the OL looked like on the topside, but oh, what a ton of flavor!

The waiting to get them back won't be fun, but I'm sure Eric will fix them right up.

Hang in there my friend! I too had the same problem with my new P- supervein. After following your excellent instructions and when I was unable to remedy the problem, I shipped her back to Eric and within a week, she is back and the threads are perfect....just like all of my other Reos! (And yep, I didn't use any of my good attys, i practiced with an old dripper). :)

There must have been some glitch but they will be sorted. @Eric Parlin will take good care of them.

Hmmmm.......perhaps I need to seek one of those out! We have similar vaping styles too. Thanks! I’m betting they would sit well on Grands (low cut) or P-67 too?

Sure! - it's listed as 18mm. It extends a HAIR over the landing deck of a grand or mini - but so little, it's easy to ignore...
Downside - you can oversquonk - it's a shallow well and low airslot.
Upside - They're $20.
