Ok so now that I feel I can comfortably survive long enough on the nicotine I have in the event of a government shake down, and I have bought so many atomizers I am not sure I will ever use them all I guess it is time to turn my attention to a nice mechanical mod to go with these rebuildable atomizers I picked up to live out my vaping life without interference. I need to focus my research though because well the clock is ticking…tick tock tick tock …the bogeyman is coming ( ok so sorry about that but my loopy brain had to get it out )

So anyways I am looking at the reo mini but wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything so here is what I was looking for and what I like about the reo.

I did not want something huge …I never want something huge and the reo mini I think is just about perfect in that regard.

I wanted a bottom feeder …I hate cartomizers and tanks hurt my flavor and most of the juices I use would eat most of the tanks….I may try glass tanks in the future but right now I simply don’t want to divert any more of my funds into experiments. The bottom feeder I feel with an atomizer is the closest I am going to come to direct dripping without direct dripping so…bottom feeder. I also like the bottle of juice you keep in there and can see myself with a couple bottles in my carry since I change all day. I have 6 flavors here at work with me today.

It had to be completely mechanical …the whole point here is to have the something that can be fixed over and over and over again if need be. The reo looks like it will take a beating and keep ticking (or at least allow me to fix what needs fixed)

I do not like the price but it is what it is and will be worth it for peace of mind but am I missing something? Is there another fully mechanical bottom feeding mod that is easily purchased without jumping through hoops that is cheaper and just as good or is there something slightly more somewhere that I haven’t seen that is considered better ( more durable or more easily fixed).

And if the Reo it is than I plan on purchasing a nice stockpile of replaceable parts from the website along with my purchase so that I don’t have to worry about finding something that works if the worst happens with the vaping scene. Does anyone with experience in such things have any tips like a piece that seems to be the one that mostly breaks or something I most likely will not have to replace and therefore shouldn’t go overboard stocking on?

I understand it is best and safest to purchase a charging bag to charge my batteries in …is there something else along the lines that I should be looking to grab in my initial purchase that isn’t overly obvious. My daughter is 3 and she is the single most important thing in my life and I don’t want my mod exploding out of somewhere one day causing her harm (I wouldn’t even be buying a mod if it wasn’t for this stupid government rushing me past my comfort pace, I like research…lots and lots of research…I would have preferred to give myself the first year of vaping to research prior to buying something so alien to what I know and have a some sort of base knowledge on but again it is what it is and here I am )

I do plan on digging and researching some more. I promise I will do my homework mostly myself lol. It’s just I have only been vaping a couple months and have had to absorb and learn everything that comes with being new, teach myself to diy liquid and figure out what I am going to need to do to keep vaping if everything goes crazy.I had to figure out what and where to focus first, second ect I am looking at mods, how to rebuild my atomizers and on and on and on. I am working nonstop and the quitter’s flu destroyed me for like a week so I lost a lot of research time and as I said I can hear that clock ticking

I am mostly trying to find out if I am on the right path here or if there is something I am overlooking. I feel like I have been running on information overload for way too long now and I am so taking a mental break once I get this mod secured (I dream of vape terms now )

Thanks in advance for any and all help :)

I don't own a reo (yet) but I'm sure it will be my next major purchase. They have the 2.1 which takes a slightly bigger battery (18500 instead of a14500) which allows for better run times and the drip well on that was designed to be larger to fit rba's better. I'd definitely pick up an extra rebuild kit and a couple extra springs, better to have and not need. Oh, and as far as another fully meech bottom feeder readily available, the short answer is no. (V mod is fully mech I believe, but not metal. It's plastic.)

Yes. Yes. Yes. You are in the right path toward a REO mini.

I have had mine for 5 months now. Got it for my 9 Month vaporversary. Love it!! Nothing to compare.

Some comments:

Look at the mini 2.1 if you are into atomizers. It was designed to accommodate some atomizers that the mini 2.0 would not fit without an adapter.

Nothing has broken yet but I bought a repair kit & stashed it away just in case. There is a video on the reosmods.com website showing how to repair it.

I use a Lipo charging bag & a Pila charger. Also AW IMR 18490 batteries. Do not be cheap with chargers & batteries. Not worth it safety-wise.

Good luck. Keep us posted. & check out the REO subforum here @ ECF. Lots of good folks there to help ya.

Get the Mini 2.0 or 2.1. They both use a 18490/18500 battery instead of a 14500 battery. Rob really broke the mold when he went to the larger battery in the Mini form factor. Same price and size with twice the performance.

I have the older mini that takes the 14500 battery. Not that I'm complaining about it, I've had it about 2 years and got it used. LOL I recently sent it in to get serviced because I thought it wasn't working and Rob sent it back to me and said it was working perfectly.

Yea, bigger battery might be nice.

Sorry I missed the reo forum...Information overload is serious matter......it makes you miss all kinds of obvious things due to the spinning and such. Mostly why I created this post, I cant trust my own brain at this point ....sigh I really wish I could at least take a vacation from work for a few days lol ...........reo forum here I come tonight .......ssshh brain..we will stop soon and stare mindless at the tv for hours I promise .

Thanks tj .....I do remember seeing that but it didnt register and stick since it was past my bedtime when I zeroed in on the reo last night and I need need to spend some time getting to know these batteries I will be using. I did register safetly of product tied to making sure you use the right batteries the right way but today as it stands the numbers mean nothign to me lol although common sense is telling me they last longer between charges similar to what the mah tells me in ordering my ego's so yes thank you for that nudge in common sense.

Hi Cashley

I would, from my own personal experience, highly recommend the Reo mini 2.1, mainly because of the larger juice bottle and the larger catchcup. BTY...I'm now the proud owner of five Reos. All of the mods are virtually indistructable, except for user error, or clumsiness, but the awesome thing is that the inventor/maker, Rob (redeyedancer) is the most hands-on seller there is. You can PM, email, fill out a box on his site and even call him!
Please come to the Reo forum, you'll get more than enough info for any and everything you might want to know, not only about the reos, but a plethera of other info.

There has been a lot of great information for you so far. Stopping by the REO forum is a must! So much information there and lots of people to assist you.

The Mini 2.1 has a larger drip well to accommodate most RBA. While they might not sound like something you want now, you might change your mind later.

The 18490 battery should last you about 6-8 hours of moderate vaping.

As far as parts to buy, I would suggest a extra spring or two, and a button top. There are rebuild kits, and other parts on site. Most times you won't need more than a spring in the case of a short.

I have a lot of REO's. Two years now with REO's as my only PV's. They are durable, stylish, and hassle free.

Customer service is outstanding. Quick returns on any repairs, and a owner that will even chat with you on the phone! He stands behind any REO and will make sure it works as it should.

Hope to see you on the REO forum soon!

I have an old school Reo Mini, not the v2. No complaints here. It's built tough, fits an A7 Mini RBA nicely, holds enough juice to get me through the day, and a single 14500 lasts me until it dies for about 10 hours. Usually, my juice bottle is empty by the time it dies.

It's easy to clean, the door is fun as hell, and it sits nicely in a pocket!

REO was my first bottom feeder and I quit looking after that. After trying every REO model I now am happily settled on a REO mini original 14500 battery model and a 2.1 bigger juice well 18490 battery model. Love them both, reliable and hassle free.

I don't know how far of a drive it is, but a group of REOnuts are meeting up in Ardmore the weekend of May 4th http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...onal-meet-okies-texans-crazy-mountaineer.html I'm sure you'd be welcome and there will be tons of REOs to try. Just a thought.

The big difference is that with the larger battery the "drop off" in performance as you use up the charge is less noticeable.

Hi cashley. The mini 2.1 is a solid choice. I recommend just ordering two in solid colors that you like. Then you can mix and match doors and save yourself the agonizing wait for your next one. Nearly all users order more as soon as they get their first one cause they just could not imagine using something else.
    Gotta have backups bro :)
