Are bogger boxes full mechanical like the reo?

I'm planning on getting my first bottom feeder mod. I want one made of wood. My first choice is a reo woodvil 18490 but they are always out of stock. I'm planning to just get a bogger box. Are they full mechanical like the reo? And can you suggest any other good wooden bottom feeder box mods? Thanks.

I would say no just looking at the firing button, horn buttons are wired in. The REO is the only completely mechanical bottom feeders I am aware of but there may be others out there. Problem with wood mods is the wood does not conduct electricity. In a mechanical mod the body is often the negative conductor thus eliminating the need for wiring from the battery. A wood mod could be purely mechanical but would require a metal battery box, doable but I haven't seen one.

be careful when choosing a wood for a box. I had one of the original vv woodvils that was curly oak. It performed fine but I could never get past the smell of the wood, if the bottle of juice was left closed up in the box, say, over night, I could taste the wood in my vape. Many others had this issue as well and many didn't. Most of them say that the smell disappears over time but mine never quite did. I tried burying it in coffee for extended amounts of time but that didn't really help. I ended up using it with a carto tank and not using the bottom feeding feature and ended up selling it for that and other reasons.

Just be aware that this could be a concern.

i highly recommend my bogger box, make sure you get the SS button. its the best feeling button on any mod ive tried.
