SO...... The Reo uses 18650 batteries. and only 1 or 2 of those are any good above 20amps.. If you get real "Brand Name" ones, not rewraps. Call me paranoid but I wouldn't even run a regulated mod with coil that could do 20amps or more. With all the battery BS going on right now. There is no way to KNOW what batteries you are getting.
Oh ok I was thinking the vtc 3 was a 30 amp and the vtc 4 was a 25 amp my bad

VTC4's from RTD Vapor are a safe bet. I routinely run VTC4's in 4.2V builds around 0.2 ohms. They stay cool as a cucumber.
I had several REO's for a time but abandoned the platform due to consistent switch failures. Which was sad, because I thought I'd found my dream mod. The flimsy copper contact piece between the switch plunger and the positive contact was weakening then breaking from metal fatigue from the constant flexing. Happened to three mods, all purchased at the same time within about a three day period. Maybe I have a heavy thumb. Anyway, I can take a hint.
I believe the low resistance limit on the REO has a lot more to do with the vulnerabilities of the switch than the continuous discharge capability of available 18650 batteries.

Honestly, I LOVED everything about the REO, but when three buttons on three different units suffered the same failure in a matter of days, my faith was shaken. Keep in mind this was a few years ago. Glad it's sorted out now. Maybe I'll have to try one again
.Not sure what TMC BF is, sorry! But it sounds like REO may have the button thing licked. If so, it's one heck of a fine mod.

Get a Reo AND a Tmod then wait for the Catfish DNA200 & you will be all set in the land of squonk! Seriously though the Reo's are rock solid, I have an SL LP Grand that I bought from Rob brand new a few months ago then traded my Snow Wolf 200 for an old LP Grand. I did the rebuild kit which includes sub ohm contacts on the older Grand & it is as good as new minus the new adjustable 510. I build around .4, only run Sammy 25r or LG HG2 batteries & with a Reo door magnet on top of my batteries I have little to no arching. Every once in a while I use some Deoxit gold on the contacts & battery ends with absolutely ZERO pitting anywhere. Honestly I have a harder time maintaining my Cam-M than any of my other mods. You can't go wrong with any of these mods, any of the guy's who build them will support you better than any faceless pacific rim mfr out there IMO.
You will probably get a lot of answers in the Reos Mods forum, or the Liquid Feed APV Discussion Forum, but I would go with the former.
Personally, aesthetics are important to me - I want my mod to look as good as it vapes. For me, I have to give the edge to my Tmod with a Stumpy atomizer - looks and vapes fantastic but it does come at a higher price than a Reo Grand.
A very close second is either of my Grands with Nuppin atomizers. I don't like the look of a 22mm atomizer (like the Vector or clone) on a Reo as the atty is larger in diameter than the catch cup on the mod and it hangs off the edges of the mod. With a Nuppin (smaller diameter) the atty doesn't hang over the cup. A cheaper alternative from Reos Mods that I have used is the RM4. It's an Atomic clone that is smaller diameter and looks great on a Reo with no overhang but still allows a single or dual coil build. The clones that Rob sells are really nice quality for 45 bucks and look a LOT nicer on a Reo than the Vector - all IMO of course.
Regarding batteries - I use Samsung and don't build below .4-.5 ohms on my Reos and Tmod and never worry about a runaway. A good understanding of Ohm's Law and a little common sense go a LONG way towards being safe.
Edit: Just want to add that both of my Reos are the newer version with sub-ohm contacts and adjustable 510 connectors. I would not try to sub-ohm on an older Reo without the upgraded contacts and spring.

Just happened across a pic of my Reo Grand (old school, not upgraded yet). It has been a long time size I have used it. I e-mailed them today, $55 to convert to low profile and upgrade all the parts. Basically it will come back a new Reo. I think I might have to get that done soon. The simplicity and the fact that it is pretty close to indestructible, make it a great mod. That is a Boge 2.0 ohm LR Cartomizer on it, wow that seems like ages ago that 2.0 Ohm was considered "low resistance".
Anyway, great choice on buying a Reo, you will be quite happy with it, I'm sure.
