I'm the kind of guy who's really against clones in general, yet with this rose I became a big hypocrite to myself by buying one to attempt to modify it and maybe use it for spare parts for my authentic if I ever needed anything for it.

I got the "good" clone I think, and even the good one is not as precise as the original. to a casual observer it appears to be an exact copy and just as good as the original and it almost is, but there are a few minor things that make it slightly less than perfect as the original one is... still an amazing piece for the $40 it costs though, I will admit that :)

Damn ! This thread is slow ! Don't really understand why , it seems like more people should be taking an interest with the release of the clones , the Rose anihilates the other rba's I possess , seems it should generate more traffic .

There's just been so many other excellent rba tank systems currently, the Rose is not as special as when she first came out. Heck, both mine are in rear of the rotation line, waiting for a new build. Been playing with Estia, Erlkonigin, Big Dripper, Big Buddha, and the Flashi is due for the next rotation. Going to throw her on the Raptor:D Damn:vapor: not bad at 88 watts, Sweet at 71,8 though, just saying:2cool:

I copied and pasted this from the FT forum:
Dimensions of the original rose v2 spare parts for anyone interested.
    O-Rings Nitrile 70
    Chimney I/D Ø7mm x Ø1mm C/S
    Coil body top I/D Ø12mm x Ø1mm C/S
    Coil body bottom I/D Ø18mm x Ø1mm C/S
    Tank section I/D Ø15mm x Ø1mm C/S
    Air ring I/D Ø18mm x Ø1mm C/S
    Grub Screw M3x4 Dog Point

(Nitrile is a brand name for Buna)

A little revision here: This is for the clone without the base tool.
    Coil body top: 13 x 1 mm
    coil body bottom: 17 x 1 mm
I tried a 12 mm x 1 on the coil body top and it seemed to seal OK, didn't try the 18 on the bottom but quite possibly it would be OK too.
These are the sizes that came on the clone, that doesn't make them the correct size necessarily.

Just rebuilt the coil on one of my Rose V2s. Gets easier every time. 4 wraps of 30 ga twisted, 0.8 ohms, single coil, Japanese cotton.
The one on the left is a Tobeco of of Ebay, the one on the right is the FT version. Both work great! Pretty much identical with the Tobeco being factory brushed. I brushed the polished FT version. My poor KFuns are now in the back of the rotation line to these two.

One of the FT brushed Rose clones I gave to a friend. I've set it up at least three times and missed the fact that the chimney wouldn't screw down all the way. Simple fix just work it up and down till it went all the way, now it screws down easily. This may have resulted in flooding since it was already open enough where it stopped screwing down then opened more. Here's a picture:

There was a problem with flooding and I changed the two o-rings on the base just under the coil and the one on the mouth piece, flooding stopped, this was day before yesterday, fixed the threading issue yesterday so I'm inclined to think it was the o-rings causing the flooding. It would leak just sitting there.

It's always the damn threads with clones, have had some that had to work in really hard before they'd work fine.

Well both my rose's are in line for the next to be built, just finished up a new orchid combo, Buddha and Magma have the coils all wrapped and waiting for install, Estia just needs a re-wick, but need to vape the tank dry first:D, and then it will be time for the Rose.

Frak, need to change oil in the car too. :D always something.

dice, how do you have time to change the oil with all the wicks and coils you are building and installing? Mercy!
I cut back to 1 kayfun and 2 Roses and that is plenty to keep wicked and coiled. I carry 1 KF and 1 Rose with me at all times.
Have my Magma and a Heron at my home office desk but don't take them out to play (or to the job)

Well some tend to stay in waiting at times, but usually have at least 6 mods fully functional and in use, and take 3 to work with me. Coils last a long time and re-wick once a month or so on most, some more often, depending on the set up. Usually do my maintenance while watching a show or surfing the web.

Yeah man I own orchids, kayfuns, lemo, squapeR, big drippers, and the flavor on the rose is incredible ... And the adjustable juice flow is amazing... Only thing I want more is wider airflow options and interchangeable drip tips

I haven't had any threading issues with my Infinite Rose clone , no issues with the air intake positioning either , but it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles either and still costs more than the versions that do . But I noticed Hcigar is producing a full kit Rose V2 clone but nobody seems to be carrying them yet .

After thoroughly checking these sizes against my Rose clones I can say that this list is not accurate. I doubt if it's even correct for the original. Sorry if this caused anyone any problems, that's what I get for coping and pasting someone else's text.
    Correct sizes below:
    Chimney 7 mm x 1 mm
Coil body top 15 mm x 1 mm
Coil body bottom 18 mm x 1 mm
    Tank sections 18 mm x 1 mm
Air control ring 18 mm x 1 mm
    Brass 510 screw 2 mm x 1 mm

I think we need a sticky in this area of the forum for replacement o ring sizes of various attys. Craig should have the honor of starting it :)

I'm pondering the situation but I work 7 days (nights) a week, haven't had a day off in 8 1/2 years, but thinking about something.

Well, you could copy and paste your Rose one, Taifun one and any others you've posted. And of course others could add to it. You don't need to accept all the burden.
What do we do to get it going? Just did my first blog a couple of days ago. Do we ask a moderator?
