That's what I was thinking. Its an important resource and should be stickied imo.
That happened to me a few days ago. First I knocked it over at bedtime. Then the bird in my avatar tried to fly to me. His previous owner kept his wings clipped for 28 years so he's a poor flier. Like an uncontrolled bowling ball flying through my house. At any rate, he went past me and knocked over half my mods. That Rose coil was done in at that point. Had to recoil.
Hcigar has come out with a Rose clone , full kit , looks good and for a good price .

What is that one? I'm currently comparing different builds now that I have 2 Roses.
I think I remember that build. An inverted V on a Veritas? I've never built anything but a single horizontal coil, so that looks too advanced to me. But the single vertical like crazelee showed looks do-able for me.
yes,its cotton. and the coil is 10 wraps of 28 gauge around a 1.8mm bit for 1.4 ohms.
lower leg must go into negative hole.
btw. I use this tool for make coil.
just put the kanthal in and wraps.it really easy to make a prefect coil.

yes, just Cotton arround the coil and in wick slots. but none in the coil.
I use Cotton Pad. wraps some Cotton arround the coil. and then out two small pieces of Cotton pad like the photo.don't forget to put some cotton into empty space.if not you might get dry hit.

Got my rose Wednesday. I'm a bad owner. Didn't build it till today. Basic diagonal coil. Bad owner again. Didn't feel like going up town so I grabbed one of my wife's cotton balls. All that said this thing is amazing. I might have to back down on nic. 18 is a little rough for me

I picked up a second RoseV2 because no matter what I did I could not get a build to work, every build gave me zero ohms. I exchanged it for a Taifun and that topper works great.
Anyway it has to be something I'm doing wrong. Three builds, zero ohms and I know that I have solid contact on both posts. Anyone have the same issue and know the fix?

I assume you already brought out the 510 pin a bit? One of mine sometimes screws itself back in.

I did adjust the 510 and built a coil with longer legs to make sure I could give them a good tug and pull to ensure I had them solidly locked in on the posts.

Well, a few times I thought both coil legs were in, but one was bent under the cup. Its a finicky little thing. If I have no reading I check the 510 pin first. If that's out, I pull the ceramic cup and sure enough one coil leg wasn't in. Or ha ha, got chopped by a grub screw.
