I don't know what you guys are talking about. Either I lead a charmed life or my methods/expectations are different than y'alls. The Rose is the simplest, most dependable atomizer I own.

It's pretty easy when you get the hang of it. It's also very dependable. Never leaks. It's the only atty I have that I trust to put on my rDNA40.

Never leaks if you are sober and control the juice flow. Now try and adjust the juice when you are drinking and the damn thing floods like a hurricane

Rose rebuild time!

Twisted 32g Ni200 large diameter spaced coil. Six wraps came out to .12, filled it with rayon. Vapes like a dream! Thick flavorful vapor at 35 watts and 430 degrees on the Vapor Flask dna40.

Checking the fit in the ceramic and the spacing of my wraps.

Removed the coil to stuff with rayon. Ni200 can be a pain, especially when pulling rayon through which needs to be super tight in the coil. I usually pinch the coil between finger and thumb while I pull the wick through the coil so I can hold it in place(gently or you'll deform the coil).

At this point I saturate the wick to make it easier to work with. Then I cut it to fit in the channels. If you don't wet the wick here, it's gets frayed and difficult. Nowis the time to cut the wick to give it four tails to go in the juice channels. A much easier task with the wet wick. I cut all the way to the coil.

Insert the wick and coil into the cup. Despite my best efforts I still frayed the wick a bit.

You can see the two ends of the wire poking through the bottom of the cup aren't quite straight. You'll need them to point straight down so they'll go in easily when you place the ceramic cup into the base.

Wick, coil, and ceramic in place. When tightening the grub screws watch that it doesn't pull your coil and choke off the wick. If it begins to, stop screwing that grub screw and tighten the other until it is completely tight or starts to pull that side.

Completed and trimmed up, ready to put the tank and chimney back on!

Best build to date, but I haven't put a vertical coil in it yet. I bet it's outstanding in the flavor department with that carto on steroids type vertical build.

just wondering how everyone is cleaning the atomizer. I usually rinse out the whole piece and dissemble the bottom piece to dry all parts. I'm now having connection problems with the 510 after I reassemble everything. The 510 pushes inward even after I have tighten everything (510 pin connecting to the round contact plate. Anyone else having this issue?

Have you adjusted the brass 510 pin/screw as it's threaded?

Yes, I've had that connection problem also. It was because I overtightened a screw inside the bottom "collection" chamber. You'll need to unscrew the bottom plate to get at the screw I'm talking about. The screw goes into a white plastic disc and you need to unscrew it about a quarter turn, maybe less. Reassemble and test the 510 pin for connectivity. That should fix it. I'll look for a picture if you can't find the screw.

Hmm, I always keep mine all the way tightened. Should I keep it a little loose?

No, just leave it alone if you're not having any problems with the 510 pin. But it's possible to overtighten the screw. The screw is indirectly connected to your positive center pin. The 510 pin screws into a round metal plate that presses against the head of the screw. If you keep tightening the screw, it will lose contact with the plate and the Rose won't fire.

petemoss, you're spot on about the screw that goes into the white plastic disc, that seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks bro!

It sounds to me as if your base is not screwed tight enough to the coil body as that screw needs to be quite tight. Loosening it is just a temporary fix.

I've had my rose clone for about a month. Overall I like it. Just noticed something weird. I would constantly have issue where my vamo wouldn't fire it. Check the ohms and it would read 9.9. Randomly the ohms would jump from 1.6 to 4. I pulled the ceramic cup out and haven't had a issue since. Anyone else have issues like this?

Not unless one of my grub screws has loosened. Also the adjustable 510 positive pin sometimes screws itself back in when I screw it on the mod, lol! And I have to take it back off and brring it out some again.

Did my first chimney coil last night. Good flavor but I need the juice control as open as it gets. Normal or did I use just a tad too much wicking? Last night I actually had the chimney completely unscrewed, lol! But, dang, the flavor was amazing!
