This is true....about a month ago. That same site (vaportek) put up another pre-buy later for like $90. Since when does a clone only cost like $20 less than the original!

Oh, that happened about the same time as the clone was an improvement over the original, when adjustable air draw was added without sacrificing material quality or craftsmanship. If you think about it, it's more a design fork than a clone, really.

Why is a clone pre-order and group buys having so many problems?? I would expect this for the original device but a clone??Or are the chinese just actually having problems with with production.
You say upgrade but I say down grade. kayfun lites size IMO makes it worth the extra few $. Don't mind the Russian being a clone but 90$ that's a cloned price of the price tag as well 
no way cost to make drove it that high. Im sorry but the Russian to me has ruined the clone market. Yes better quality clones coming out but in no way is the cost justifiable. I for one will never buy a clone for more than 45-50$ a full set up hybrid and all.....well maybe a russian clone with a silver compact pin telescoping or sidewinding device......just giving UD or some other clone company my day dream

I ended up emailing vaportek and canceling my preorder today. Then I went to my local shop and picked up a full size Russian. Build quality looks fantastic on these. I'm just having some quirks with my build to work out.
The full size is pretty big though. The 91% will probably be a more manageable size I just got tired of waiting.

Unlike most folks, I blame the manufacturers and preorder/coop folks: this "double the estimated time" nonsense, and general "isn't this funny, ha-ha" jive is for the birds.

This is getting old really fast. I am beginning to wonder if the 91% will ever come out. At this rate I could have invested the original price & had enough to buy the original Kayfun 3.1 which I may do if there isn't something concrete real soon!
Kebo doesn't deal with co-ops. Maybe if the manufacturer already produced what they are advertising instead of just posting the product and not having it made yet then we wouldn't all be waiting to get them. This is what makes it take so long. They wait to get payments for the product, THEN start producing it. They should have already had them produced and ready to sell but maybe they don't have the capital to do that yet so they start out by doing the above. That is my guess. They state that they can do 10k units a month but apparently that is wrong. If that were the case, you would think that everyone would have theirs in a few weeks as it has already been a few weeks. It looks like some people are getting them so they are getting orders out. I know one supplier that is supposed to be getting an order shipped to them next week for around 100 of them.

Since the "pre-orders" seem more like the infamous "Vapor Ware" of software fame, I'd not recommend even bothering.

The full-size ones are too big for my taste. I actually was about to order a Kayfun Lite from intaste, but then I realized they had sold out since I was on there a few days ago ;(
Indeed, hence my current sig file. I am in on a preorder, but got tired of waiting and actually managed to get a Kayfun from intaste.de a couple of weeks ago. I was on their "notify" list before that, but missed the email. Then I just happened to check the site one day and it was available. Very glad I did.
Still hoping for the 91%, though.
I finally caved and ordered the Russian this weekend. Hope to have it sometime during the coming week. I like a good deal as much as the next guy, but waiting weeks and months just isn't worth the wait anymore. If the 91% ever shows up in my mailbox, fine. If not fine. But I am seriously rethinking this pre~order deal. I got burned and all bent out of shape over the Ithaka, now this 91% fiasco.
I will take each device as it comes, but preordering, will have to think long and hard before ever getting involved in one again.

I'm loving the full-size Russian as well. Yeah it's kinda big, but it'll be fine until I get a 91% and provari ring. The only thing I don't love is my plastic needle tip bottles being a waste of $ because they leak. I rigged up something with the metal tip bottle, but what are other people using?
I remember seeing PBusardo's review of the Russian and he had a problem with filling through the fill hole using the needle tip bottle that came with it. He ended up using a bottle with a plastic tip like this and was able to fill it with no leakage at all:

These luer lock 18 gauge dispensing tips and a luer lock syringe work perfectly on my kayfun 3.1. PM me your address and I'll mail you a couple sometime this week.
