Ended up grabbing one of the very small o rings from the bag of extras the r91 comes with. Seems like this is one of an extra pair of o rings for the center post screw.

This fixed the issue completely; no leaks whatsoever.

Just picked up a Russian and it didn't have an o-ring on the adjustment screw. Should it? Took your advise and used one on the fill screw. Works perfect. I had a little leaking today before putting it on.

Picked up another 91% and I'm not sure if this is the v2 but the finish is a little better (although I'm still gonna brush it) and the SS seems shinier and the parts seem to fit better. The chimney and chamber part are actually a polished finish, which is really nice. I love my v1 and use it at much as my Plus as I rotate between 2 KFL's and now 2 91%'s.

As for prepping these for use, I find a toothbrush, warm water and dish soap are good enough. Just let the soap soak a little to dissolve the grease and scrub real good especially at the threads and top deck. No alcohol, no boiling.

people getting multiple KFL's and R91's makes me want to get another one too (1 r91) lol.

So in attempt to prevent r91 deck from moving when adjusting the contact screw, i might have overtightened it and now the insulator has a slight indention in it brining the middle part in more. Anyone know where to get replacement insulators?

These are for kayfun Lites, but I expect they might fit.

Isolatorenpack fr Kayfun 3.1 und Lite - InTaste
Kayfun Replacement Isolators - Accessories - SvoëMesto - Rebuildables (Out of stock)

P.S. There may be some at fasttech as well. Low price, slow boat kind of thing.

Hey all, just got my R91% tonight at a local. They did up a 1.8ohm kanthal coil with cotton for me. Worked great for about 30 minutes, but now seems to have a wicking issue... thoughts?

You mentioned cotton, was it as micro coil? Micro coils are the only way to go with cotton otherwise it will burn like mad.

Also, make sure the amount of cotton used was relitavely small. It takes very little cotton in these setups.

Lastly, make sure the tails of the cotton wick are not "stuffed" into the juice wells. They should lay gently into the juice well, resting onto the bottom.

You may find the need for a primer puff. Some folks have smaller wick channels than others and require the primer to create more vacuum/juice flow between hits.

Agreed, probably user error. It was a micro coil, and a primer puff seems to have sorted it out for now... The cotton was laid down to the side of the juice channels

I can't find it now, but I remember somebody else having this problem. After re-wicking my R91 was working great last night. Today it is suddenly leaking out of the airflow. What would/could be the cause of this? All orings look good. Thanks.
Sounds like you need to open up the airflow a little more.
