Thanks so much, Juiceinator..... my laziness is truly showing -- lol. It's time for me to pick up some new syringes at the pharmacy / doctor office.
I'm also would like to know this (if I'm not going too far off topic) -- does the Russian 91% have the same capacity as the Russian? I am not sure if the 9% size difference is due to the end cap on the base of the Russian or in the tank. I haven't been able to find a comparison. Not a big deal, just curious.

I sort of figured that out regarding the dense vapor = more juice, mdliffert....
I'm really curious about the capacity in ml when filled to the window. I was hoping some quantitative individual may have measured already saving me the time....lol. I tend to use whatever is handy and clean to fill devices so haven't been exactly measuring how much juice different devices take. Trying to get a baseline on the 91%. Maybe I'll have to get out a new syringe and blunt needle and start keeping track....yuck.

I have a real deal Russian 91% and I've done about 5 full fills using the fill screw/port ON THE BASE via a syringe so I can measure it. I do not fill from the top with this device. Why bother? Over 4ML my way is the juice capacity of this device. Fill slowly and watch the tank. The fill port screw has no oring so be carefull so it's snug but not tight. Once I purposely overfilled the device till juice driped out the tip. Clear the flood in this case and your good to go. About the only issue I have noticed is a very very small amount of juice can sometimes accumulate on the base but it's so small of an amount a quick wipe and bingo.

Filling on my R91 is ALOT easier then my new authentic KFL+ v2 with the deeper fill hole. I can use a nipple top or pep and easily fill. With the KFL+ i have to use a needle nose or it would become a mess. I should try filling it from the top but the juices ive been vaping on regularly is mothers milk which sells out fast locally. Every drop is precious :(

Do we just hold down the airhole, fill, and flip wait for the airbubble to rise? Im guessing I wouldnt be able to do it with my KFL+ since i took off the AFC screw.

Someone recently posted that 75% of Russian and Kayfun users fill from the top, so we must be 25%ers.
I never found taking off the atty, unscrewing the screw, and squeezing the juice bottle overly taxing.

LOL. I'm not surprised. Without pointing specific fingers /lol show me a vid that begins with an actual demo of how to fill from the bottom. Every single one that I have seen shows a fill from the top, in some cases they don't even mention let alone a demo of a fill from the bottom. I suspect some probably don't even no that 4+ ML with this juice sucker aka vapor monster could possibly be one of it's greatest feature. /LOL Due we need a logo like The 25% Club. HA!

I also have the real deal KFL+ V2 and I've seen folks fill from the bottom using a dropper but I'm inpatient. :) Actually I would argue that filling from the top is more problematic with respect to wasting juice. It's tricky where as a needle tip or syringe with a small blunt needle is not only easy but works every time. My advice for what it's worth, join our 25% club. We would love to have you as a member!

LOL! I'm with you two. The ONLY one that I fill from the top is the one that doesn't have the screw in the bottom. I've never gotten that side fill port to work for me. And actually haven't tried to hard as I would think with use it would eventually fail. Since I carry at least two (kayfuns or others) tanks at all times, I just once at night or in the morning fill 'em up.

Without the AFC screw its nearly impossible to create a seal and not flood the chamber.
I prefer to fill the normal way. It's easier, allows for more juice to be added, and has the potential to be way less messy. I just use needle nose bottles for everything.

EXACTLY! Case in point is the real deal Hcigar which a lot of folks love given the cost and I respect that and don't wish to start a flame fest. :) HA! Not so much for me. Two fills with the side fill port on a new unit were perfect. Then it failed. Big time! El Leako. I even managed to get the spring and ball out and must have spent over two hours trying to fix it with every trick in the book and some great ECF members help. No go. Sealed shut with Silicone to stop the leaks. Fill from the top. Presently its the best 2.5ML clone money can buy /lol and I still use it for desert small fixes.

Thanks for the info, SeniorBoy..... I have the Russian and not willing to try filling with the "fill valve" on the side for the same reason you mentioned. BTW -- you weren't ever able to get that valve to work again? That's a shame. Sort of silly to put a feature on a device only to have it not work properly or fail completely. I need to measure to be sure, but I don't think I get as much juice in the Russian filling from the top vs the bottom. Actually, since I don't use the bottom fill valve, I guess I'll never know!!! lol I'd like to become a 25%'errrr....

I thought I was told it holds 4ml, but having trouble with that number. I did find a syringe with the markings and got ~2.5ml in, but had several drops come out the drip tip when screwing on the top cap while inverted.
Maybe I need to see about the coming Russian Big (11.5ml per Rip Trippers review) so I can "tank up" for several days at a time....lol.

Sorry...forgot to mention my own little story which I hope you enjoy at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/seniorboy/5863-torrid-love-afair-breaks-up.html

To fill from the bottom and only the bottom you don't take the top cap off. NO NO NO please. Invert the device and remove the screw and fill. Some juice is thicker than others thus it occupies more space in your atty. Think viscosity please.

Fill from the top: 2ML +
Fill from the bottom: 4ML +

SeniorBoy.... Your gut wrenching blog held my rapt interest.
How I too yearn to fill from the bottom, only to rebuff myself lest I harm my beloved Russian. Life on the steppes is indeed cold and difficult, yet we must all accept our lot in life and live with the agony of top filling. (at least 75% of us)

I am part of the 25% club (Kebo R91%). Filling from the bottom is the easiest way /discussion. I simply remove the fill screw and place the tip of the bottle to the fill hole. I don't even bother with needle/syringe tips. Sooner or later though (depending on $$$) I'll be forced to join the 75% club. Going to get the quartz conversion kit, and apparently due to the thickness of the bottom metal collar, the fill hole is blocked. Still, its a small price to pay to be able to use any juice you choose in the R91% without fear of cracking the tank while still having an almost fully clear tank.

The Russian and Russian 91% parts are interchangeable with the KF and KFL devices. You can purchase the extensions and tank sections to make it a 10ml device.

It would look ridiculous though, having that super tall RBA. It would be like half the length of the mod itself. The Russian big is ~1.25" in diameter and is made for 26650 mods, which are equally wide.
