So I've been a little obsessed with savory flavors lately.

I love bakery type ejuices, and pure fruits like pear, peach, banana, blueberry, strong aromatics like cinnamon and black licorice. I need to switch it up a lot, because I find that if I vape the same flavor profiles for too long at a time, my taste buds get dull. I think it's kinda the same thing as when you first put on perfume, you can smell it just fine, two or three hours or so later, you're surprised when someone else comments on it, because you can't smell it anymore.

Anyway, on a whim, I tried a sample of dill pickle from Ms T, and fell in love with it. It was the perfect foil for all the fruity juices I love, and really brought out their flavors again for me. I immediately reordered a big bottle of it, and now I vape the dill pickle so much it goes dull. So fine, we've established my tendency toward gluttony....

So I started exploring the possibilities of finding other savory flavors to keep things interesting. At first, I was disappointed, because there just didn't seem to be much out there, but one by one, I found a few here, a few there, and I've got a few orders out. After receiving a few oddities from ECBlends on Saturday, I can happily say I'm sold.

I tried samples of ECBlends Roast Beef w/ Black Pepper, Butter, Cucumber with a shot of tomato, and Tomato Soup. All were exceptional, imo, but the Tomato Soup needs to steep- it's pretty weak still.

The roast beef is pretty wild, actually, you get this great beefy aroma most strongly in your nose on the exhale, and while it's weird at first, you find yourself wanting more of it the more you vape it. It's just really different than anything I've ever tried, in a really good way.

The cucumber is light, fresh and slightly sweet, sweeter than I actually wanted, but it works very well. I don't know if it's quite a savory, actually, but it's not fruity, either, so it's a refreshing, palate cleansing break from those sweeter summery vapes.

Butter is buttery! Almost margariney, but I think more butter. Surprisingly tasty all by itself. If Paula Dean had an all-day vape, this would be it. I should point out that this butter flavor is diacetyl free- not all are.

Tomato soup, I'm holding out on. It's there, and it's nice, but it's faint. I'm betting it will be great after steeping.

So I know at this point I'm probably talking to the crickets, but if there are any others out there with some savory experiences to share, I'd love to hear them. Where'd you find them, what did you think of them, the good, the bad, the savory, the unsavory... or just tell me I'm weird and post a link to some Boba's Bounty.

Ha! I remember your post about Ms T's Dill Pickle....I just made an order from her and forgot to look for the pickle juice. I did, however, order her Bacon French Toast. It's either going to be ghastly or really good; I'll find out soon.

I'm the same way...I have to mix it up or flavours start to blur. So far I've been vaping BWB complex flavors and complementing them with sinfully sweet ones, alternating through the day.

I'll be watching this thread ;) - I adore eating pizza and anchovies and steak and stwed vegetables. Perhaps it's a failure of my imagination that these flavours totally don't appeal to me when it comes to vaping but then again I love eating chocolate but have been underwhelmed by chocolate vape flavours so who knows.

I can't wait to hear- I was avoiding that one because I'm not all that fond of maple, but then, I do kinda like maple syrup on my bacon...

I've seen a few different pizzas out there, I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried a few different ones. Vaping cheesiness somehow doesn't appeal to me, but I'm willing to give it a shot for the sake of... science?

wow. after checking out the ecblends page i really would like to try some of their custom flavors.
i would be all over any of the following:
75% cucumber 25% pepper
50% cucumber 25% pepper 25% ginger
...maybe a variation with tomato as well? i have thing for cucumber/tomato salads so having a vape form would be amazing.

All of those sound delish! Pepper in particular sounds like a great addition to me.

I ordered a shot of tomato with my cucumber, but the tomato isn't coming through for me. Maybe it'll come out more with some steeping. It's yummy anyway, I've been vaping it all night without any sign of taste bud boredom.

Ohhh. Cucumber. I may have to try that. The tequila/margarita bar I goto occasionally does an amazing cucumber margarita. I could see the 2 going together well. It's an amazing drink in the summer. So crisp and refreshing. I found that Smoke Smooth's Orange Creme was a perfect match to the Grand Marnier Orange Slush they have in the French pavillion at Epcot. Love vapes that can match to a favorite adult beverage. :)

I remember the review of Dill Pickle. Considering order that one soon.

As I posted over in http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...8-love-eat-xxxx-but-hate-vape-vice-versa.html I don't really feel I'll ever have a true "all day vape." But I'm fine with that concept. I'm gonna get into DIY and really let my sense of flavor have a good time. :)

Subscribed to this thread,ya'll are a lot more adventurous than me!!! Interesting topic though, no doubt! I really want to see a youtube video of some of these flavors!!!

Not to thread jack too much, but can I ask ... what makes a YT video of a flavor so special? As opposed to written reviews?

Will be interested to see what you think of the bacon french toast. I tried it, just curious and I love bacon. To me...it did not taste like bacon, and was totally gross....one of the few I have just tossed in the trash.

I'll definitely post my thoughts to this thread when I get it. 'Course it may be one of those juices that need to steep for a while.
After reading about some of the veggie-pepper-type juices, I'm intrigued! Next time I'm ready to make an order I'll look for some savories. If I hate them they'll be up for trade or passing on to other brave souls. :)

Funny you should bring this thread back up ohai; I was just about to go looking for it!

I let the Ms T's Bacon French Toast steep for a week before trying it.

I'm not getting bacon, really, or any taste of something that used to have eyes for that matter. There's a maple-ish flavour on the inhale which isn't unpleasant. Then a salty/hickory-type smoke flavor. With, as ojai said about the pure bacon flavour, a somewhat sweet, greasy aftertaste. Perhaps I'm only expecting that because a: it's supposed to be bacon and b: I just read and was influenced by ohai's post above. :)
Decent TH at 24 mg.

It's not horrible; I may even have liked it better without knowing what it was supposed to be. (I think the name and description of juice really influences how we taste it.) I'll let a couple of co-vapers I know try it without telling them what it is first. Then I shall find someone to give it away to. Some of Ms T's flavors are at the top of my favourites list but this one ain't among them.

I really want to try the dill, as well as roast beef.

Honestly, you won't be sorry. Esp if you drip- if you drip them both in the same atty, you can get a pretty neat roast beef sandwich vibe going.

Tried Juicy Vapor's French Toast w/ Bacon and all I tasted was Maple Syrup with a little bit of egginess :(

I keep hearing that. I really need a bacon to love, so I'm willing to try a french toast variant, but I want a little more than "bacon touched my pancake at some point" flavor.

Boyfriend doesn't know it but he's in for I'm about to savory-bomb his ... with JV's Jalapeno poppers, Steve's Drunk, and Aloha Pizza flavors... :D

ooooooh! Those sound like fun to me! Aloha Pizza will be awesome, I bet- jalapeno poppers scare me a little, lol.

I just tried Ms T's pineapple pizza yesterday, and it is so so good. It defies logic. All the right flavors and scents are there. It's bright and sweet and savory at the same time, with just the perfect balance of spices- not too heavy on the oregano or garlic. It's fragrant without being heavily aromatic, and the lingering smell isn't overwheming either- it's truly delicious and so strangely light- and I don't mean light as in muted or subtle, I mean light as in it feels light and bright, as opposed to heavy, heady robusto pizza flavors.

I'll be interested in hearing what JV's take on it is like, and of course, the poppers and the Drunk- is that a beer, I'm guessing?

I actually trotted out Steve's Drunk on my boyfriend last night. The review is here:

that's weird. I don't know why I put it in General rather than Eliquid. Weird. Oh well. Mods will move it I guess.

Anyway, it was really bad.

As far as the aloha pizza-- I smell a lot of pineapple and this weird cheese smell. Do you remember as a kid having Chef Boyardee pizza with the powder cheese?

it smelled like that cheese.

I'll have to put Mrs. T's pizza on a list. I need to cut my real pizza habit and maybe that will help.

FreedomSmokeUSA has a lot of savories available, and I picked up a few samples, but I have a quick bone to pick.

Why are FSU's samples available only in 24 mg nic?? I get that it might be cost prohibitive to offer customized levels, but if you have to pick just one, why not pick a middle of the road level for your samples, say 10- 14ish?

Anyway, fair warning, you can taste the nicotine in these if you aren't used to 24 mg. I left the caps off for a few days, and it got rid of most of the chemical aftertaste, but it still tastes like too much nic to me personally. (I only do high nic in the morning, and I generally do savories in the evening, so these kinda mess me up, lol) /bone picking

But to get back to the juice- FSU's soy sauce. It isn't. It's a little sesame oil, a little old acidic coffee tasting which makes no sense at all, and it isn't salty tasting, either. Steeping might help, but I'm not sure how much, since it's all apparently pre-mixed at 24 mgs for convenience, but this has been steeping at my house for approx a week and it's just not getting any more soy saucy to me. If anyone could find a nice tamari type soy sauce, I'd be thrilled to death.

But! There is more good news than bad- FSU's Roast Chicken is kinda neat. If you add their Mushroom and a drop of Pepper, it makes them both even better, and it tastes like a roast chicken/mushroom gravy worthy of your mom's mashed potatoes. (or mine, which are probably better than most people's moms' including my own- I'm midwestern, I can't help it, I was born knowing how to make mashed potatoes and gravy) Very fun and comfort foody- these are a win for me.

I feel your pain, I post in the wrong threads now.

Anyway, it was really bad.

Well, rats, but very good to know- and a very fun read, too! Good things can come from bad juice.

ECBlends Roast beef w/ a pepper flavor shot is very good- add a drop or two of Ms T's dill pickle- almost a sandwich. I keep trying to add a touch of bread crust from FSU, but it just seems to mute it too much for me. At any rate, I can have that stuff for lunch.

I really think she got it just right, and maybe its because it's really not cheesy at all. If there's cheese in it, I can't taste it or smell it. It's actually more sweet than savory, but its a really good balance, imo.
