I want to know more about the knives hanging on the back wall......did you make those? They look great !
Those are all old, part of a lifetime of collecting. I have made some though.

This one is Damascus steel, hand forged by a good friend, an ex Hippie, Ex UVA Professor, Phd in economics - turned blacksmith, turned conspiracy theorist survivalist, living in the hills of Tenn in a log cabin, believe it or not. I think he did a teeny bit too much microdot back in the 60's.

Anyway, he hand forges Damascus blades with 512 layers using a combination of 1040/4140 sandwiched pounded and folded 256 times. I grind them to shape and make the handles. This one is Bolivian rosewood with mosaic pins. I also did the filework up top
