What I hate is not the smell of cigarettes but the smell of recently-former smokers now vapors using the language of the anti smokers: stinky, smelly, ashtray-breath smokers. That's what I hate to hear.

I think you are being overly harsh. Most of those who have posted are merely stating how surprised they are at what people have been telling them for years. Lots are also saying how they will never say those things to smokers intentionally.

One of the main reasons I wanted an e-cig was so my wife would quit her whining. Now that I quit I can barely wait till the smell disgusts me like it did her. I keep telling myself that once I hit 2, 3 or maybe 4 weeks I will smoke an analog just to see if I puke or gag like some here have. I think it will be kinda funny. Doesnt mean I will go making mean comments to smokers. Actually, I will do the opposite and inform them of our fun new addiction.

It does stink, no question about it. Coming out of a bar, my clothes stink. I've always thought that, even when I smoked; I'm just more sensitive to it now. I'm not judging people who smoke and I never will; but they're not exactly making perfume called "Bar Smoke"; are they?
The smell of Camels in the air does provide nostalgia and I enjoy that smell, but not the smell of it sticking to my clothes.

Yeah I agree totally!

Also i think it depends what you smoke, certain analogs have a very pleasant light aroma like parliament lights or camel lights, while others are downright horrible like marlboro

of course when you are in a bar full of smokers there is no escaping it, then again in NYC i never have that problem because always have to go outside to smoke an analog, so I very rarely have my clothes full of smoke.

Nope, sorry, I am not being too harsh. It starts with the repetition of the words of the anti-smokers repeated here among recently ex-smokers. It carries itself to the anti-smokers watching over these boards and repeating those words, and it enhances the denormalization of smokers (vapors WILL be included)and their spoiled identities. "Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.”

I cannot say that I started to hate the smell of analogs after I started vaping. I hated it while I was smoking. I smoked rather strong cigs and often found myself washing my hands because the smell would just waft off them.

Maybe I was weird being able to smell em and smoke em or may I was just REALLY stinky. Other people's smoke didn't bother me tho... go figure.

My wife and I both smoked analogs like crazy people... we were up to about a carton and a half between us for the week. Thats 300 cigarettes, 300 butts, 7 or 8 cleanings of the nasty ashtray, and two kids (2 and 5) that we didn't spend time with while outside on our patio smoking. I have been vaping now on the 510 Titan since June 26th and havn't picked up a cigarette or even wanted one since then.

The problem for me exists in my wifes habit. She sees no value in vaping and wont even consider it as an alternative. In fact, when I get proud of myself and say "its been a week since I smoked" she laughs at me and says I still smoke. Absolutely no positive comments from her and in fact, mostly negative stuff like "man, that seems like a lot of work.. you are alway playing with it or refilling it etc.." Now I am getting to the point I can't go near her after smoking or even kiss her since the smell of the ashtray is killing me. I sure hope that my decision to get a little bit healthier with vaping isnt going to cause marital problems for me....
