I have not received my yet. After reading this it sounds complicated. I hope instructions are included.

David includes an exploded view of the assembled parts.

If you can change an ink cartridge in a ballpoint pen you can assemble a S6, Martha. It's as easy as can be. It's one of those things that as soon as you see it you'll agree.

This is more complicated than the S6 --

Martha - I sure didn't mean to freak you out. It's not complicated at ALL! I promise.

All it has is a switch (consists of a button and a spring), the tube, and the atomizer adapter that screws on and off. All of four parts, all solid, with no wiggly fragile wires or anything you can break or mess up.

When you screw the atomizer adapter off to remove the batteries, if you tip it down to let the batteries fall out, your switch might fall out, too. If that happens, just slide the button & spring back down the tube. Or, like David suggested, hold onto the button while you're tipping the batteries out. No big deal at all -- just something to keep in mind or you'll be crawling around on the floor to find the parts that fell out. You'll invent your own technique.

Just give it a bubblebath every now and then, and occasionally dab the silver conducting grease and the Noalox where David and the others suggested. That's pretty much IT.

We can do this, Martha.

I have a S6 for 901 and I've had mine around two weeks also. It's the only device I've used in that time.

I have noticed if I get a little heavy on the dripping a little juice can leak out around the o-ring. It doesn't really leak, I just notice the o-ring looks wet. Never had enough to actually run out or get on my hands or anything.

I've never had any problems getting the S6 to fire; however, I did have an issue with it. Apparently I got too much juice or some debris in the adapter and it partially shorted between the center post and the outer part of the adapter. It would fire but the atomizer didn't get very hot and the vapor production was really weak. After cleaning the adapter it has been working good again now for 6 days w/o problems.

I'd say take it apart and give it a good bath once a week in some hot water and dish soap. You really need to watch the threads on the adapter, where the atomizer screws on, as they can get gunked up from the juice that always seems to make it's way out of the atomizer hole.

As for the button falling out, I just put one hand over the open end and tip it up. That way I can let the batteries out and not the button. My button, spring, and insulator always stay together, so it just falls back into place.

Overall I've been real happy with the S6, it does require some regular cleaning though to keep it working right.

Really, the SIX is a super slick and easy device to use.

When you receive it, you get to decide how easy you want pushing the button to be, and how far in you want to push it. You do that by simply choosing which spring and how many washers you'll need to use. From there on, I've found it virtually a no-maintenance device.

I can't find anything on the SIX itself that can go wrong. But I can go wrong....if I over-juice it I just blow out the atty. When the vapor gets weak I change the battery. That's as complicated as it gets, and I've had mine for quite some time now.

When you change the battery, just slide it out, don't turn it upside down and shake everything out. When you juice it, just drop 3 drops in the tip. It's so easy a cave-woman can do it! :D
