When I was in the USAF, stationed in Alaska, we used to go out in t-shirts anytime the temp got above 0 degrees.
Of course, we were about 150 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Nothing between us and the pole but the Arctic Ocean. Don't wanna go back!

After a long Minnesota winter 50 degrees did feel like summertime!! But in the fall it sure felt chilly. It's all a matter of perspective, I have yet to need a winter coat in Florida but I do grab a fleece on those windy chilly days!
I take my teenage son on a 2 - 3 day trip every year to see a concert he wants to go to as his Xmas present. Took him to Florida in November 3 years ago and he talked me into upgrading the rental car to a convertible Crossfire. I think it was in the low - mid 50s then and you should've seen the looks we'd get from the locals driving around even after dark with the top down and tank tops on
I'm going to Florida for new years. I fully expect to be mocked because I will be rocking the tank top and shorts with pride!
