I fixed the wobbly center post by cutting a piece of insulation from 12/2 house wiring and put it over the post inside the insulator - rock solid. Also put a 4th nut on it with a washer over the insulator first. These will take a standard cartomizer insulator, it you manage to destroy the original (and spare!)

So I was wondering if it is normal that I had to raise the voltage in order to find my sweet spot? As of now the flavor is good and I'm getting more vapor...and I expect things to improve a bit as this breaks in and I learn to wrap a better coil. The next time I wrap a coil I will try the drill bit method.

I had to raise my voltage as well. My new 3/4 wrap on the 95mm wick reads 2.4 ohms, and I run it all the way to 5v when I feel like it- and it doesn't burn the juice at all. It's the only device that works well on my PWM'ed varitubes- the Vivi's are the exact opposite for me, where they always needed to be "babied" or they would burn up quickly.

I just built my wick (mesh) and coil for the first time on my AGA-T rba. I am not very mechanically inclined, but with some videos and pictures posted here, I was able to build it and make a coil that is firing well. The vape is good, maybe because I built the coil..LOL, or maybe I actually did a good job?..Either way I am happy I got this done and it worked, thanks for all the tipps and pictures posted here by all you great vapors.

I see you still have that useless negative post still in it; I pulled mine out the first thing when I got it.

I kept mine in for more build options in the future ;)

...And also, from the looks of things, the hole it sits in was drilled all the way through the cap. At the moment, the AGA is my only sealed genesis system that is pocket- and sideways-sitting friendly- at least sometimes.

If anyone is interested see my blog where I compare the GotVapes Birkshire against the AGA Tiamat.

Wow...nice comparison. I've got the Birkshire, but like Ninja said there's a sticker on the box that says AGA-T. More than anything, the weight difference that you noted is surprising.

yeah, the difference between the two is supposed to be about the same as you found- but the manufacturers specs on the actual weights is different- listed as 97g for the Tiamat and 82g for the AGA. My Tiamat actually weighed over 100g.

These are the actual weights measured with a Pyrex tank. I would presume that the difference is due to different manufacturers; the Chinese copy everything - even their own stuff.

Nine times out of ten, you would be absolutely right. But the AGA's are made by a single manufacturer, unlike others such as the phoenix and DUD. So this will just have to stay a mystery for now, lol.
