Anjel stood at the top of the wall of the castle the first one and looked out. Roger the man of arms was there, his
beard white he had seen much and knew much.
Anjel watched as the night came in, early the clouds moving fast and a front. The outflow boundary was fast, and it moved dirt as well as brush and leaves. It came closer and Christopher came to the top and watched as well.
"If what he said is true...." Roger stood taller, the outflow getting closer the wind picked up. Anjel's hair started to move in the wind faster, and soon she turned watching, the outflow coming on them fast, the temperature dropped fast, it would freeze easy soon.
The sand and leaves blew past her and the city, she could see people running. "You might want to take off your armor Christopher, it is going to get cold!" he shouted.
Finally the sand and wind passed and just cold air, the clouds came in faster and the sun was covered. Roger watched, Anjel turned her head left to look at him. "What is wrong?"
Roger stood and wanted to answer correctly. "Well uhm Darlin has been in control of the weather for 200 years, and stopped the winter from truly coming. Now that she is gone, we get the full brunt of the winter, and the army she held back."
Angel stood up erect. "Oh my God.... you have made your own death trap. If they take the first wall, then they have half of your food. And then with cover to both sides take the second, and then they have 3/4 of the food or more. Oh my God, and you have no way to cook now do you?"
Roger listened, "We have a little time, Christopher tell the troops to spread the word get all the animals up to the top of the castle, to the top!!!" Christopher shouted. "Yes sir!" The snow started to fall and Anjel watched in the distance as the clouds came between the mountains now visible.
With Darlin gone so was the shield, and all could see it clearly. Angel put her head down as Roger motioned for a few mounted horsemen to go out. "Gather wood if you can, keep your eyes open." "Yes sir." they said back and the gate opened and they went out.
"Your sending them to their death." Anjel said. "No... we have the best like Israel all must learn how to use weapon, we just have to wait." Anjel watched as the horseman disappeared into the snow. The blizzard just starting. Roger looked and said. "We will not see the sun or moon for
three weeks or more, this is serious."
Anjel watched as the fog came in with the freezing and she thought she could see a fire. She listened closely and the sounds of the wind and the storm, the people of the city drowned out what she was listening for.
"Your guns will be no good, the ones that are on solar paneled power." She looked concerned, and thought for a moment that she heard drums in the distance.
