the pound and euro is currently tanking against the dollar and is likely to get worse..

e cigs are basically paid for in dollars.. the dollar is at 1.5-ish to the pound and the pound is still going down..

our e cigs come from china and we pay for them in dollars.. suppliers are going to have to put their prices up and anyone buying directly from china will is paying more in pounds by the day..

for now US users are okay..

definitely, i watch it slide every day. 1 euro today is $1.25 or 81 british pence. there has actually been a calculated decision made by the button pushers to peg the euro once again to the dollar, so you'll see it slip every day until it does. the pound though just cant get off its bloodied knees. is it going to match the euro? i know where i'll be doing my shopping if it does. i'm just grateful i dont have any icelandic kronas, 10 of which would currently get me 5 american cents. they are contemplating EU membership.

one good thing about all this is companies will have to get off their treasure island mentality and stop ripping us off. currently it costs me the same to fly to NY city, stay in a hotel and purchase the latest adobe software and then fly home as it would be for me to buy it in a local store. A dell laptop shipped from China to here costs me $200 more than it would if i was living in the states. why? because they can.

to be honest this is frightening stuff.. what was a run on banks has turned into a run on currencies.. market mania is running amock..

there isnt any pegging going on here its all out of control.. the ship dosnt have a captaiin any more..

the dollar sits high because a lot of the assets being sold off is in borrowed dollars.. all these dollars are flowing back to the homeland.. but its a short term flow.. when it stops as it will.. the dollar will nosedive..

this is all about change and the speed of change.. things are just happening too bloody quickly.. a few clicks on a mouse button and a bank is empty.. a few more clicks and a countries currency is f-cked..

all i know is anything i now buy from china now costs 25% more than it did six weeks ago.. and the euro pound slide against the dollar hasnt stopped yet..

it has me scared and i dont scare easy..

the americans are at least gonna get some cheap screwdrivers for a while.. he he he

it a possibility DC.. china is awash with dollar assets.. they depend on the americans to buy their products but dont like being at the mercy of the dollar..

the chinese have problems the world has problems.. how the mess will unravel no one knows.. a deep deression is the least of the possibilities.. the worse dosnt bear thinking about..

i see where u are going Mrfrog.. but i think the media are holding back.. i think things are far worse than the media portray them to be..

basically the real situation is so dire that if it were commonly known we would all be having bad dreams..

but i just talk rubbish so please dont give credence to anything i say.. else u will be having real nightmares.. he he..

it will get better after christmas as a taxi driver friend of mine said to me yesterday.. i know whats going on but i also know there is bugger all any off us can do about it so why worry overly much..

but it will affect what we pay for e cigs.. he he he
