Having been to the Pinellas Co (FL) meetup yesterday, I wanted to encourage those who haven't organized any yet to do so. We had a blast with all our gear. It was fun meeting people we've exchanged ideas with on this forum. Plus, it's a good way to see equipment you may not have seen before.
I felt a 901 for the first time...it's soooooooo light weight, I was amazed. Also, saw an NPRO and 801 (hope I got the number correct) for the first time.
And then there was the Prodigy...our meetup organizer (mss5366) LOVED it.
But, I still come back to getting the chance to meet folks. I noticed in the in the post meeting comments, that there wasn't much mentioned about the gear (except for mss5366 and her lust for the Prodigy). Goes to show you that the internet and forums are wonderful, yet you have much more fun in person.
The neatest new tip I came away with was mss5366's use of those little dental brushes to clean out her atty. They are on my shopping list!
