Yes, it is safe to charge a 650 at 0.5A, it will just take longer to charge it.
Your AW 18350's have a max charge rate of 1.5A. You are safe with either setting.
That said, I normally charge my 350's @ 500mA. If I am charging both 350's and 650's I can go either way depending on if I'm in a hurry or not.
The 500mA setting is easier on the batteries though....

I have a TON of these 18650's (Linked below) and the 350's Li-Ion's from my Torpedo/Lavatube. I have just ordered some eFest IMR's from Smoktek but 'till they get here in 2 days, would these be ok to use in the VAMO? I don't want to damage the PV. They are calling them "High Drain" so I would ...-ume(

lol, Swampy, the TW '650 High Drain 'should' be an IMR, and yes this is an unprotected battery. However, TW do sell another '650 this is an ICR, it is Red/Silver. Their '650 IMR's are meant to be Black/Red. It seems they have either changed their listing and not updated their photo's or they've rebranded their batteries again. The best thing to do is give them a call, email or post in their forum here ask them to clarify.
As far as I'm aware, their '350 is an Unprotected ICR. I wouldn't recommend these for use in the Vamo. I would certainly not use them for stacking, Never do this with ICR's. I can't understand why TW would even sell unprotected ICR's as these batteries can be especially dangerous.

18350 batteries can be stacked in the Vamo and explosions are unlikely. There are some safety protocols the user should follow to hedge against a bad result. They've been covered thoroughly in this thread. (yeah, it's long!)
Thanks, but this thread (and battery university, etc etc) is where I got the idea that ICR was stackable. That is why I was asking Mali about the statement that it is unsafe..
ETA: Finally found a datasheet on these. (Since it is an image instead of text, google was having issues when I was searching before.) And yes, they aren't rated for the sort of load the vamo can provide (stacked or otherwise)
For anyone else who got them, here is the datasheet and here is a quick converter.
They are rated 1.7A, which is just over 7W at 2.4ohms ("standard" resistance) and 4 watts at 1.5ohms ("low" resistance). For 3ohm and above, it is ok but not great (8.6W)
Unfortunately, certain vendors are still selling them as li-ion 18350 battery for Epipe & Vmax & Vamo Variable Volt/Watt APV..

My concern is Unprotected ICR's are well known to be volatile, have greater capacity for failure, are known to not be equal in terms of voltage dis/re-charge rates and have No safe chem therefore should this battery fail, things Will go horribly wrong.
So whilst using a single unprotected ICR is ok, Stacking is not and it's Not recommended. These concerns have been raised in numerous threads on ECF, other Vaping forums (Mountain Prophet) as well as the Flashlight forums. I appreciate that ICR's are somewhat cheaper than IMR's but they are not better and certainly Not safe for stacking.
If people wish to stack and take appropriate safety measures, no worries.
Please, use IMR / Safe Chem batteries!! I can't stress this enough.
And don't use Magnets in your mods either! Not Ever!!

If you follow the link to his blog, you'll find results for batteries he's already tested. For example the Efest 18350-800-V2 and 18650-2000-V2, which show performance above their rated levels. There's lots of good technical data there as well as simple pass/fail results. This kind of testing, by unpaid third parties, can put a lot of the stories and fables to a real test and provide real information.

These AW 18650 Protected 3400 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery should be ok for the few days before 4 aw imr 2000s arrive from rtdvapors since I typically stay between 3.0-3.5 volts rms or alternatively 6.0-7.5 watts rms on my 2 nice new vamos using 1.5 +/- 0.2 ohm dcc tank cartos in the tanks they fit?
Also had mine for 2 weeks. Also been using those Joyetechs with no issues. Also been using Samsung 2600s with no issues. Also been using the icr 3400s with no issues. Caveat: i have no interest in vaping anything like i'm trying to send 'smoke' signals to the left coast like yesterday, so i'm not working anything too hard. My goal is days of not having to screw around with anything, not massive steam exuding from every pore of my body such that no one fails to notice. But that's just me.
