So, over the next couple of years, might we expect some kind of "Vaper's Underground" to come into being? Something similar to prohibition, but web-based? Vapers sharing black market sites and shops with other vapers, where Banana Cream Pie juice and Provari Mini's and nautilus tanks can be bought under-the-counter, on-the-sly, off-the-beaten-path? Something on the dark web, maybe? Perhaps email based? A usenet group?

Is it already spawning now? Somewhere out there on the vast world wide web?

Just my guess, but the penalties will be much more severe for the manufacturers, than individual buyers. How many will risk it? Who knows? I can imagine too many larger, well known companies, like Provape, deciding to deal 'under the table' in contraband.
Plus, paying for orders will become more difficult. Many card processors already will not deal with Vaping companies. PayPal and eBay even technically prohibit transactions, if they happen to randomly catch them.

Hmmm. Now I think about, maybe I shouldn't have started this thread.

First rule of Vaper's Underground: Don't talk about Vaper's Underground!
Second rule of Vaper's Underground: Don't talk about Vaper's Underground!
Ssshhhhh.....;) the trouble is if companies aren't going to make the money or it's against the law to manufacture the devices I can see us going back to when we used to make our own diy gear, those were crazy days but yeah, there is always a way. I'd say the underground would be more for Nic than anything else...

The FDA has had agents monitoring forums and other social media for a while now.

I don't think the FDA has ever doubted that there will be a Black Market. In fact, I believe they themselves have predicted a 90% compliance rate to the regs, which means 10% that won't.
IMO, they have over-estimated the compliance rate.

I worry about one piece of the regs, the requirement for anyone who "manufactures" to be licensed. DIY'ers are probably going to be considered illegal manufacturers and if caught could be prosecuted. We will have a new class of criminals overnight. I know the likelihood of getting caught will be very small, but somebody somewhere WILL pay the price. Just trying to wrap my head around this...

I don't think there's any chance at all that they would try to fine someone for making juice UNLESS THEY SELL IT. And FDA enforcement consists of a warning letter, followed by a $250 fine for repeat offense, etc. There's no one gonna get arrested for mixing up some juice to vape...

Yeah, there might be some 'sacrificial lambs'; a few unlucky souls to be made an example of. As a pretty self sufficient vaper and DIYer, I'm not worried about it.

Thanks, I'm really not personally too concerned, just wondering where all this might go down the road. They'll have their hands full with the shops and online vendors first, maybe things will turn out in the courts or other avenues before it all gets too out of hand. I don't think our government really has the resources to fight a war on vaping...

I don't either. While the regs are bad for the industry, as a whole, I believe there's much that will be unenforceable. Otherwise, they wouldn't have stated "We expect 90% compliance".

I intend to keep fighting in order to Prevent this from becoming an ultimate reality for the Health and savings of All Vapers Everywhere.

We are not some Cult and should NOT be treated as such!!!

I will not Hide. I will not go Quietly. I will not slink, like some Criminal, down Dark allies to make illegal purchases as long as there is anything left to fight back with.

STAND FOR YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEALTHY! :grr:

Op's post sounds like a undercover agent trying too hard
"Hey guys, trying to score vape stuff, you got any vape stuff? Where do you go for your vape stuff? How many people sell illegal vape stuff?"

Sorry......I'm paranoid :)

Whenever uncomfortable.........Check the Ops Back post from their Sig Profile. Many are casual users and not up one everything going on. Some have returned and are a bit panicked. Some may be covert, we never know.

I see no need to let paranoia Shake my Stand. :D

Remember, just because you are paranoid, does not preclude them being after you.

My first thought too. Unfortunately with the FDA purporting to have "infiltrated" social media and the forums it will have a chilling effect on any public information pertaining to access to banned err...regulated vaping paraphernalia. As they want it.
