Wowsa. You guys really are paranoid.

Your right, and anyone who knows me will tell you I'm not a paranoid, conspiracy type.
This whole situation is perfect for paranoia and destruction from within and I think the FDA knew that and planted the seed. Now they can sit back and watch it grow with a smile.

Dimi said they spent 2.7 million USD infiltrating social media.

Everyone should watch this. Yeah, it's an hour and a half. Time well spent IMO.

Great vid thanks for posting. This whole thing has my mind blown. Sure I can build my own coils and figure out DIY my own juice... But what about new folks looking to quit? Really worth the hour and a half to have info broken down.

I wasnt trying to imply the op WAS an undercover FDA agent. I read it and immediately got one of those corny cop movie scenarios in my head :D

Ala 21/22 jumpstreet. :D I can see it now, FDA in black trenchcoats hanging out in front of the local 7-11 "pssst. Hey you. I got some sweet Mothers Milk. Interested?"

Somewhere out there
The part that really gets me is today I can vape and then the FDA decides on xxx date I can't, this really ticks me off. So many of us are so grateful to have something that actually works to kick the smoking habit and now the FDA deems it is not to be available because if this rediculous date of 2007. This is totally unacceptable. If FDA is reading this, just want you all to know you really screwed over the the vapers who want to vape to stay healthy. Many of us are seniors and we are not happy. I realize the FDA does not care, but it sucks.

I worry about one piece of the regs, the requirement for anyone who "manufactures" to be licensed. DIY'ers are probably going to be considered illegal manufacturers and if caught could be prosecuted. We will have a new class of criminals overnight. I know the likelihood of getting caught will be very small, but somebody somewhere WILL pay the price. Just trying to wrap my head around this...

My thoughts exactly. If I build my own coils, according to what regs say, I'd be a manufacture? The regulations are not specific enough and leave a good deal of ambiguity. Still suggest they're pitched out for that.

HMMMM they would not learn much sending one person for an afternoon. That's about how long it would take them to blow through 2.7 million. LOL

The Federal Drug Administration dooming regulations are inteneded to protect their buddies in public health,, local government, education, tobacco control, and medical research whose funding willl be cut if smokers switch to vaping. Tobacco taxes are often earmarked for stuff like that to insure those taxes have loyal supporters. Note who is doing the most complaining about vaping.

So, over the next couple of years, might we expect some kind of "Vaper's Underground" to come into being? Something similar to prohibition, but web-based? Vapers sharing black market sites and shops with other vapers, where Banana Cream Pie juice and Provari Mini's and Nautilus tanks can be bought under-the-counter, on-the-sly, off-the-beaten-path? Something on the dark web, maybe? Perhaps email based? A usenet group?

Is it already spawning now? Somewhere out there on the vast world wide web?

You know I could be wrong but

Pretty sure you won't find meet-ups for drug cartel dealers with nicotine on the interwebs - dark web or otherwise. I really don't think that conforms to their model of "best business practices."

I don't think the FDA has ever doubted that there will be a Black Market. In fact, I believe they themselves have predicted a 90% compliance rate to the regs, which means 10% that won't.
IMO, they have over-estimated the compliance rate.

They had to have greatly over-estimated the 90% number. What exactly are those 90% going to be buying? We're all going to give in and switch over to Blu? [emoji1] I think they hope that the 90% will just stop vaping or go back to smoking (because smoking is obviously healthier. Haven't you guys seen the research?). I'm not too overly concerned myself at the moment. That doesn't mean I've given up. I will continue doing whatever I can to support advocacy. I'm more concerned with the uninformed vaper that doesn't know what's going on and people who currently smoke or will in the future!

I'm sure the availability of decent products for the new or prospective vaper is the major concern for most of us; and it should be. Without the incoming new vapers, the growth of vaping will slow, or halt. Those of us who have been around a while have been preparing for this. Personally, I've become self-sufficient enough to where I don't see myself being affected at all. But our focus has to be on the new, and 'yet to be' vaper. The regs are already having an affect. I was talking to a smoker this past weekend, who mentioned that he had been thinking about taking up vaping; "But what's the point now? They're going to be banned soon anyway. Might as well just stay smoking". Sadly, this was just one random guy I was talking to, as I was sitting at a picnic table, having a vape, at a local flea market. I'm sure there are thousands of others out there, in the same boat.
