I've tried that before and it worked as well as the seal I have now but not any better. I think that I will give it a shot again though. Still wonder if a regular o-ring would work better though. BTW anyone know exactly what is supposed to be better in this second run of atty's ? I've got some new ones coming so maybe that might help as well

I'll give a stab at answering this one.

More consistency seems to be the most general way to say it. They should be a bit less "airy". They all come with the newer o ring seals on them, so you won't have to swap them out. Some people had trouble with off center or bunched up coils on the first run--and that could have lowered life of the atty. There is an internal wire change, too --- a little above my technical understanding----but it was a requested change, I believe, by some users.

Is Vapage EVER going to update their site?
I'm holding off of more Silos hoping new stuff will inspire me to reach for the free shipping
This weekend I will have to go back to my eGo until I get more Silos.
Looking for extra bottles and seal kits too.
Vmod is wanting a new skin too, I'm sure

I think they have all the new products in there warehouse already, just not on the site yet. You can try calling them and ordering through the phone. I ordered a 14500 charger through the phone yesterday even though its not on their site.

AG, do you think the heat, juice, or both are causing the upper silicone seal to stretch?

The one around the atty?
Once it's wet with juice, it's not going to seal as well. Going back to our original claims of a nice soapy VMod bath makes for a happy VMod. Make sure to wipe down the attys & clean the seals too. A slippery seal just isn't going to stop juice like a clean seal.

I know that dark colored, sweet juices are frustrating. There is no atty or carto made which will stand up to it. I know it tastes good, but it's a fact light or clear juices aren't as hard on heating coils. I love Vaperite's VR4, but the stuff gunks up a new carto faster than you can say AG.

It will make it fit tighter. For awhile. I would try that, and also GH's suggestion of cutting a new one from a condom cap that starts out as tight on the atty. Love the simplicity of the idea of cutting the bottom off first in order to get a straight cut (which up to this point has remained a mystery to me!).

Ya I tried turning it inside out worked for a bit but not long. I think gh's method of cutting so the that the ends are perfectly flat might be the key. I had tried using a cut condom before but the ends were a bit wavy from my cutting.

This post might be helpful to you (and anyone else that is more of a newcomer to VMODia): http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-video-reviews/195396-vmod-107.html#post3869331

Beaver, you might try cutting one just shy of 3/16" to see if that works better. Make sure when you thread your atty/ carto into the Vmod that you don't over tighten. Just let it bottom out, don't torque it down. If you over tighten the bottom seal will curl up and cover the slots that allow the juice to flow into the atty/ carto. Also if your outer seal gets pushed down too far it also covers the juice slots. When either of these happen the juice has no where to go and the pressure pushes it past the seals and you get leaks....

Just a heads up on this. I did order a few of the TPA 3ml bottles and they do NOT fit at all, not even slightly. They will not thread onto the VMOD. I'm happy Vapage will carry them in the correct size. I have no idea how Mim got these to work, but I have to say...

:nah:

Well, looks like i've found extra bottles for our beloved Vmod.
These 3ml bottles arrived today from TPA. Threading is obviously different, but they move in fine and stay in place. After 5 hours of regular use, the only leak happened when i took it out, and not a really a leak, just a few drops on the thread.

Probably why his VMod was leaking. :2c:

Both of mine are dry & work great with the new chassis & seals.

Oh, right, another minus for the new chasis i forgot to say. Those worked fine on the first chasis, but they don't on this new one.

So it "killed" my 2 bottles, and TPA ones didn't work.

Just....bleh.

just received the vapage 14500 battery charger, how long does it take for the batteries to fully charge? there doesnt seem to be an indicator on it to let you know if they are fully charged or not.
