I pulled my bottle off tonite to fill it and I'm looking at it thinking WTH is on it's lil head?? Then I remembered Tierrataz talking about the washer/o-ring/gasket (whatever it's called) that goes in above the bottle. I was shocked 4 a sec that it came off until I saw all of the joose in there :?::?:.. Evidently I'm still overfeeding it... :( ... ... Frustrating I can't seem to find the right atty/silo combo for me. Just might have to shelf VMOD for awhile ...

No, vikki, NO! Say it isn't so! Shelf the VMOD?

So you think it's an issue of overfeeding? Perhaps that O-ring has just done it's time and now it's giving up the ghost. Could be a very simple replacement and then you could rejoin the VMOD train.

where do i get this bottle o-ring? it doesnt come with the kit right?

If you are referring to Vikki's post, it's in the feed chamber. Mine comes out at each bottle change. Looks like a modified condom.

If you are referring to Para's o-ring mod, any home improvement store should carry them.

Vikki, do you have leaking?

What do you mean you can't find the right combo...for heat? The 2.8 silos they used to ship with are waaaay too cool for me and I vape @ 5.5-6.5 watts, considered a "cool vaper". I use AW IMRs and change out when they hit about 3.7-3.8V. I like the hotter hits off the top of the charge. Once they drop, I find I can over feed because I am not getting the production, but it's always a batt that is going down. Hate to see you shelve the Vmod if we can help ya figure it out.

Just thought I would ask. I'm getting mine to kinda ok with my thick high vg juices. However my faves are pg dekang and when i try to use those I cant get it to work at all. If i press real light then nothing goes into the feed chamber if i press any heavier it blows right past the seals and all over the outside of the atty. I got some new seals coming from vapage so hopefully that will help although i'm stuck right now waiting on shipping. I've had to go back to dripping on my ego. If I cant wait and decide to go to lowes and find some o-rings anyone know what size i should be looking for ?

I think it's a heat/flavor thing with me and since my only experience prior to the vmod was kr8's, well 1.5 all the way to 2.8 is a pretty big range and then throw atty and silo into the mix :).. For me it seems the 1.5 is too hot ~ all of my joose seems to taste burnt or I just get a harsh taste/hit unless it's leaking out of every possible orifice (couldn't help it!) from overfeeding. The 2.8's are like sucking air so those are def out, unless I go to 6 vlt and I don't see that happening at all until I can figure this out. 1.8 atty's are frustrating again (I thought I had them dialed in for a sec) not as hot as 1.5 but they're still not loving my juice there. It could be my juice?? I have VR's Kentucky Vanilla Blend in one and Caramelized Cappuccino in the other one, so IDK.. Right now I have 2.2 silo's in and they are ok. I keep burning them from underfeeding them because I was overfeeding them.. 1.8 silo's are ok too, but I tend to overfeed because I've burnt a few from underfeeding. So I'm driving myself nuts trying to figure out what is working for me. If I could duplicate what my kr's do w/the vmod then I would be in heaven again. I did have it for a sec, then I lost it somehow, guess I wasn't paying attention :(... I actually broke down and bought a cheap ego off of classy's last nite.

Find a condom from a 510 carto/ atty that fits snug over outside of your Vmod atty and cut you a new seal the same size as the one that is leaking. If you cut the solid end of the condom off first so, that you just have a tube left. You can flatten it out and make a clean through cut using a utility knife (box cutter, razor knife). Make sure it's not any longer than the original. Mine measures 3/16"...........

I've tried that before and it worked as well as the seal I have now but not any better. I think that I will give it a shot again though. Still wonder if a regular o-ring would work better though. BTW anyone know exactly what is supposed to be better in this second run of atty's ? I've got some new ones coming so maybe that might help as well

It will make it fit tighter. For awhile. I would try that, and also GH's suggestion of cutting a new one from a condom cap that starts out as tight on the atty. Love the simplicity of the idea of cutting the bottom off first in order to get a straight cut (which up to this point has remained a mystery to me!).

Best advice I can offer is to look up what wattage you were loving on the kr8. Then look to see what ohm atty/silo will get you in that range on the Vmod. It can save you a lot of money if you know what wattage you prefer. Remember it's a 3.7V device, but the batts come off the charger @ 4.1-4.2V. I can tell from the vape when mine hit about 3.8V and back on the charger they go. I like 2.2-2.5 attys depending on my juice. I like tobaccos a bit warmer, fruits or florals don't stand up to heat IMO. Also remember that attys tend to go down in resistance after usage, this is normal. So a 1.5ohm may settle in @ 1.3 ohm or so.

WRT cartos, I fill them from the top before ever vaping. I recall getting 18 or so drops into a silo. Maybe they are not wet enough from the get go if you are burning them so quickly? I'm not a carto fan, so rarely use them. Just had to try the silo vs an IKV fusion and I think they are good for what they are.

Hope that helps some.
