I seriously doubt you got an old chassis as they were long gone before Vapefest. Vapage is very good about standing behind their products.

If you look at your chassis, you should be able to see a pin between the battery side and the feed chamber. The first run chassis were not pinned.

Easy way to tell. Is there a pin hole on the chassis??? If no pin hole then it's the old chassis. I really can't see Brian bringing ANY old chassis to VapeFest. That would be counter productive... And why would he do that when: They found out about the cracking going on the old chassis they sent out replacements to everyone who needed them at NO COST to us??? Just doesn't make sense to me. These are mass produced, so just like everything else that is, there are bound to be defected items getting past qc here and there. Vapage stands behind their product and CS is VERY important to them.

Edit: Didn't see tierrataz's post until after I posted :)...

Sorry, I'm just really frustrated right now, looking at the pic and comparing mine;

I see what looks like a pin hole or indentation to the right of the battery, as in the pic, but I also see in this pic where there is what looks like an additional gasket or seal below the atty connection, which I don't have.

I wish I could take some pics, but I can't get any detail with my camera, thanks guys for your help here I appreciate it

OK, so you DO have the new chassis. Did the seller give you the seal kit that should have come with the mod? There is a silicone catch cup in there. No point in installing it though if you need a replacement. Vapage WILL take care of you, trust us!!!

Having followed this thread since the beginning I also questioned if one got past them, I knew that they were replacing the chassis that were cracking and I would have welcomed the opportunity to talk with someone who could have explained to me how to identify the old vs new.

Thanks tierrtaz, I did find one in a new package of bottles that came with it. Would this not have been installed in the vmod initially? I didn't remember seeing any post on that, but then again, so many posts, my head is spinning.......lol

Is there a work around on the crack, using the catch cup, or a mute point now?

The crack must be a thin spot on the injection. I'm certain Skinny and crew want this back so they can see the issue & whip China QC into shape. It was supposed to be taken care of and I believe you are only the second that has reported this on the new chassis in this thread. It should only be cosmetic since they are now pinned, but long term? Who knows. Best to send it back and get a new one.

If you search the thread, you will find catch cup instructions with pictures. Or maybe another Vmoddian is not in the middle of 3 other things??? ;-)

I sent them a email and tryed like you said without the shell on it and the fuild is coming out the top . I don't see how with the new seal ket in place , hmmm . I vaped for almost a year before I quit the first time so I'm not a newbee to vaping .

On my VMOD I noticed that the upper seal and atty must be dry when putting it on. If wet it leaks.

FLENCH-
I have used Dual Coil cartos successfully on the VMod..
Using a dremel, I cut a slot as far down towards the threads as possible.
I also had to make an adjustment to the upper gasket since the slot I cut is wider and higher up on the carto tube than the silo slots.
(You can either make the entire gasket shorter, or I have also notched the gasket- but then you need to be sure the notch stays aligned with the slot in the DC carto.)
