Well, OK, but juice is going to go down the threads as well. No? The only way it can get into the carto is through the airholes (including the tiny ones on the threading). Here's how I understand the "layout".
With just that one hole in the cart, the "juice chamber" is sealed and liquid can only push up into the filler, just as in the Vapage cartos. There's no seeping.
I understand that drilling is a pain for many people, but I'm just making sure we understand each other. With the unpierced cartos, there is no magic hole, it's just flooding into the air feed, and some down to the catch-cup? correct? But it works pretty well, huh?

We are on the VMOD thread. That's V-Mod. We stick pieces o' condom in VMODs & mod parts 4 the V-MOD to get around some of the problems.

AH, I found some Boge 2.0s at $6.95 / 5 (they are in short supply), a dollar more than GoodProphets, but GP is often all out. I can't comment on this vendor.

The plain metal ones lack the plastic covering that creates such a nice tight seal. I cannot believe how there is now not a trace of seepage, leakage, not a drop, nothin'. Dry as a chihuahua's .... on a New Mexico highway.
For $8.99 / 5 ecigexpress.com has the whites that look SO cool with a black VMOD, and the orange. This vendor is top notch.
In addition to better taste and vapor with the Boges, the battery lasts quite a bit longer. I think it's because I'm not having to hold the button down as long. If you don't have any contact cleaner for the switch/spring, some alcohol is a start. Man, this is a good setup. My Echos on eGos are great, but they have two CURVEs. Oversaturated at first, and later in the day, low on liquid. And the battery curve. This setup only has a battery curve, but because the carto is so efficient, it's darned sufficient until it powers off. I don't get this enthusiastic about vape rigs very often. THIS works!

I have to say this: Fernand: I find it very disrespectful your approach here. We all get it that you don't like the vapage silo's and carto's and that you are obsessed w/boge's. BUT This is a vmod thread. Your opinions are of course welcomed here, as I don't think anybody here is narrow minded about vmod's. but now you sound like a broken record, or a troll. There are quite a few of us here that love the vmod's with the vapage silo's and carto's. I could go on, but I believe you are an intelligent man and understand this forum and respective threads. I don't think you're creating tension, Vikki. People can disagree and there's nothing wrong with that. This is how we progress. If we took offense to everything, we'd never improve on anything.
With that said, I don't think that Fernand is being disrespectful. I think he's an "improver" and he's been very factual and hasn't insulted anyone. Also, he has brought up some issues that others are experiencing, as well, and is looking for an improvement. He hasn't said that he doesn't like the Vmod...he's saying that he is having problems with some portions (only the cartos and attys) of the design. I, too, am having issues with off-flavors and burning taste, so if it means perfecting the design and making this beautiful little mod the best mod in the vaping world, let's continue having the discussion.
Right now, it appears that some cartos work on the Vmod...some without adaptations, and others with. Regardless, it's all related to the Vmod. Also, many people have shied away from purchasing this wonderful little guy because of the proprietary cartos/attys. If being able to use others helps more people come to love the Vmod, and in the end helps Vapage improve on their own design, isn't discussing the various cartos/attys that work with it good for Vapage and good for the Vmod family?
pheisty, My post had NOTHING to do w/ppl replacing their atty's or silo's with something else, I'm all for that. I have NOTHING against ppl stating their opinions and trying diff things, I have slotted carto's. My issue is almost every post: "If you haven't tried the boge's try them they are the best, blah blah blah blah". You stated your opinion re: vapage atty's/silo's and your personal preference, we get it, now move on. Just leave your love for your precious boge's out of the post, that's all, very simple really.
As I stated, this is not a new topic re: other carto's on the vmod, if one looks thru the posts it has been talked about on numerous occasions... And yes that is great for the vmod family and the growth of our lil monster, But like I said, that is NOT the issue. The issue is repeatedly telling ppl if you haven't tried these boges you need to as your brand sucks in a "brand specific thread"... It is called forum decorum or etiquette or whatever you want to call it. You don''t go to Notcigs thread and try to convert everyone to a provari, telling them their vv sucks, it's just not cool.

I'll find out tomorrow if AG Jr's concussion has subsided. It's his Senior year & he really wants to get back on the field for Friday's Sectional game.

One thing I do not miss is the tulle fog in the central valley Kat.... Have memories of hanging the head out the window and using the lines in the road to navigate....

When using the term "you", I'm presuming that you are speaking of Fernand. I have never owned a Boge.
That aside, I still don't see any of Fernand's comments as "disrespectful". Annoying to you and some others maybe, but not disrespectful.
Not everyone has time nor the patience to dig back through this 360 page thread, and many of us are new here. I realize that some veterans get irritated when things that have been covered before are brought up, but that's just part of forums. We're all guilty of it at one time or another.
I think Fernand's concern is health-related, as he's pointed out several times. He may be wrong and he may be right on the acrolein and the coils, but in the end all he's doing is offering a high-functioning--and in his mind a safer alternative--to the proprietary carts and attys. He has no ill-will or ulterior motive here. At least I don't think so and see no proof of this. And he wasn't knocking the Vmod itself.
As a Vmod user who is also having issues with taste/burning, I'm grateful for his comments. I love my Vmod and want it to work to the best of its ability. So while you may be irritated that Fernand happens to recommend something that is working well and is in his opinion a better alternative (and that's fine for you to be irritated and express that irritation--I have no problem with that), this Vmod user is grateful.
I recognize your irritation, you recognize my gratefulness. Let's be done with this and get back to the Vmod. I'm sure Fernand has headed for the hills by now. LOL
In the end, the answer is probably creating another thread for this issue alone.
