Huh? Sorry, maybe it's late, but I'm lost. To what are you referring?
I got two sets, and on one the right bay was bad (DOA). If I put two batteries in, after a while both lights turn green. If I then swap bays it goes red, because the right bay never charged its battery. Voltmeter confirms right battery was not charged. It looks like the LEDs are not separately controlled, but that's a design choice; once any DOA units is exchanged, its a very decent charger.Anyone who ordered the kit that came with batteries and a charger- have you had any problems with them charging? When I put a dead battery in mine, the light stays green without ever going red.![]()
try to drip like two drops and draw with out tilting if it works than your atty is fine the learning curve is a little tricky but for me i tilt one push on bottle then upright one push then draw like 4-5 times good vapor and flavor then again but it is easy and quick after you get it to your own style of vape and watch the youtube vids they help alotAlright, I'm thinking my chargers just bad, but I'm sure they will help me out. Another question- I'm following your method on filling the atomizer- the tilting and everything, but I'm constantly getting a burnt dry hits :/
Suggestions? Or have I burnt up a atty?
.. or your atty could be defective. I think the Vmods are great, and worth sticking with until they're all "there" for you, but I have not had good luck with their "burners". I just got my first XL, and out of the five Vapage atties total I've received so far, this 2.2 Ohm 510 gold bottom Hybrid (not BF) is the first and only good atomizer in the bunch. It's very nice. No harsh burned taste at all, even if I let it run pretty dry.
The most common defects on both their cartos and atties have to do with sloppy coil winding at the Chinese factory. On atties, you might see a glow if you look down the "pipe" with the drip tip off and in low ambient light. A glow means one or more loops of the coil wire are off the wick that should normally be cooling it. It can heat up to orange, hot enough to decompose and burn juice. When a coil is evenly wrapped on the wick and centered, you shouldn't get a harsh burned hit, just the familiar dry atty taste that every dripper knows. So check that. Some people mitigate the problem by pushing the loose coil wire down with a little screwdriver and/or drowning it in juice. But seeing how nice these atties CAN be, if it's burning harsh, I'd get it replaced.
On cartos, I have received 3 so far, two with my Vmods and one with my Vmod XL, and all 3 are defective, with the coil way off to the side, so they are burning somethin' and taste bad. I can also see a full blown orange glow on one. For the "little VMod" I just slit my own cartos. If you have a Dremel, it's a piece of cake. Other people just use a standard 510 carto loose in the "nest" so it feeds from below. With a star washer it doesn't have to be loose.
A lesser flaw I've had is the positive contact pin not coming down enough to give a reliable connection. This is not your case. If it happens it's usually an apparent "DOA". You can try to pull the pin and some of the "surround" down a bit with a hooked-end pin or tweezers, or get it replaced. Even my one good Vapage 510 Hybrid atty has pin problems and it takes fiddling to get it working, though I've found it worth the minor hassle.
You shouldn't have to put up with burned taste, the Vmod is great and capable of much better.
how should I fix it? just buy a new one? does the screwdriver mehtod work well?
You can't go wrong with a SiloAWESOME! I gave it a vodka bath so if I can get this fixed!!! woohhooooooo right now the carto is treating me well![]()
