Anyone who ordered the kit that came with batteries and a charger- have you had any problems with them charging? When I put a dead battery in mine, the light stays green without ever going red.
Try lifting the bottom (- end) up slightly. I have to do this with my Trustfire charger. The way the outer case of the battery rolls around the bottom of the battery, it keeps the charger contact from making contact with the bottom of the battery.
Fifth one's the charm ;-) But at that ratio you can see why I was getting pretty frustrated. This Gold bottom Universal Hybrid has a perfectly wound coil and it kicks ....! I sure hope it lasts a long time. Do they do well with alcohol cleaning and dry burns?

Mine clean quite well with a vodka bath. I'm no longer in favor of dry burns. The alcohol dries fairly quickly when I set them out near an open window. (Welp, maybe a teensy weensy miniscule dry burn once in a while.
)
Okay, sorry if this is a stupid question but does the regular vmod have to have special attys/cartos and batteries or can I use my regular 510 stuff and 14500 batts that I already have?
Any 14500 battery should work. Any 510 should fire but most will not feed without some modification.
Thanks! I know it used to be proprietory but I heard the XL isn't so thought maybe the smaller one had been modified.
I'm hoping the new feed system makes its way to the regular vmod but no word on when that will happen.
The XL has the newest improvements & feeds most any 510 threaded atty.
The 14500 Vmod is supposed to have them in a Vmod 2.0 version, but when it will happen is not known.
With that said, the 14500 VMod is still a nice little mod & the Hybrid BF atty was made for it & gives a great vape.

and modifying regular 510 cartos just requires making a slit with a Dremel. The advantage of the little Vmod SL is the tiny size, and it's really cute and small. If you don't need that, the XL is more versatile.
I have a vmod coming that I snagged on classifieds, I also have an xl on the way, will it be pretty obvious on what I need to do with other attys, once I see the ones that come in the kit?
The regular Vmod uses the Silo Cartos & Bottom Feeder Hybrid Atomizers natively. They have feed holes at the base of the casing where it meets the connector. This is where you would slot another type of carto or atty. There are posts referenced in the tags below with photos.
The Vmod XL will use just about any 510 threaded atty/carto. The DC attys are the only atomizer I know that won't work.

I just read somewhere that the 1.5s dont have as much flavor as 2.0s I hope this is not the case because I ordered 4 1.5s ((((((
