thanks and thumbs up Fernand!
i've a lot of Boge's @home but the vmod is still shipping to me ;o)
is there a solution without an dremel? because... i don't have it.

Tat is right, that's basically what the XL does, but without the air hole down the middle of the well where juice can seep. If the loose carto method gets messy on ya, or doesn't wet yer batting well enough, get a pair of 1/16" tungsten or titanium I forget, high speed drill bits at the local Ace, put on your body armor, matador gloves and goggles, put the carto in a vise, hold on to the drill for dear life and just drill a hole at the very base of the carto barrel (gasket not needed).

Lifting the barrel like on an atty has never worked on the cartos for me. For one thing they don't budge ;-)

But you can get a Dremel with some "cut off disks" for not much money, it's a good tool to have. If you're only going to be using it for this, maybe this would work:

Amazon.com: Dremel 760-04 Two-Speed Cordless Golf Cleaning Rotary Tool: Home Improvement

This fer sure:

Amazon.com: Black & Decker RTX-B 3 Speed RTX Rotary Tool with Storage Bag: Home Improvement

oh. yeah. One more thing you can do for the "loose carto" method. Find a star washer that's got the inner diameter of the 510 threading and not too wide. Put the star washer on the carto threading (where the gasket is in the photo above). That way the carto can sit a little high in the socket and juice can get by, without it being wobbly.

Heya everybody! After sitting on the V-MOD XL review for a while (didn't want it to get lost in the holiday weeks), I've finally published it. If you are so inclined, you can give it a gander here: Vapage V-MOD XL Review

For those who don't want to venture out, the super short version: The XL is not only bigger, but fixes some of the seeping and compatibility issues that the original suffered.

So, I got a crack in my new vmod, but got this email back in a few hours.
"Just send in your chassis and cone, keep everything else and we will send you back the new 2.0 chassis and cone.
The ETA for the new shipment is beginning of February.". Is this something new? :))

They're integrating the updates they did with the feed system in the XL into the original, maybe? That would be pretty good news.
