Super glue did wonders for my original chassis from July --- it might work well on the current chassis. I'd give that a try and send it in a few weeks from now for the replacement.

Don't know the answers, but Taz was testing out a new type of chassis material and I'm thinking that could be the February shipment?

And, tho I am thrilled to have an XL---the little guys certainly have their place in my arsenal.

Wow! 465 pages of posts! I dont think I am going to be able to gather the patience to to through all of them, so I'll just go ahead and ask the questions I have about the Vmod here.

I was just about to pull the trigger on the Vmod XL and the vapage site says its out of stock! :( So Now I am wondering if I should wait for the XL or but the standard size. Any suggestions?

One of the video review I saw said that the XL had some improvements over the original (apart from the capacity) I couldnt quite understand what the improvements were. Could someone educate me about this?

There seems to be an atty and a carto available, which one should I get as spares?

Shipping is expensive for me so I'd like to stock up on the attys/cartos. How long do these last? (I do about 3 ML of PG juice on my egoTs for reference)

The Vmod seems to be a cool PV, I still dont have a Reo and this will be my first bottom feeder / box mod.

Besides size -- the biggest change is that the XL can feed just about any 510 threaded atty or carto without having to mod the other branded atty or carto. The smaller Vmod was made to use the Hybrid BF Atty's and their Silo Carto----and since it can fire 510's, clever ECFer's have learned how to mod them so the feed chamber can be utilized as well.

The other most talked about change is that the Vmod has had a couple "weeping" or "leaking" issues between the shell and the chassis of the device, usually due to overfeeding. This does not occur with the XL due to various changes in design.

I personally never had a big problem or issue with occasional "weep" and advances have been made continually to reduce their occurance...to where it has been quite a minor issue for most. I've said many times, I never had the Vmod leak at all outside. No messes on the table, in the pocket, or in my purse----like I have had occur with several other mods/pvs.

I have no data on when the XL will be back in stock. I'm sure Vapage is both happy and sad to be out already!

On what else to buy or if you should wait -- that's hard to day. If you give us a bit of data on what you have been using I'm sure someone will chime in with some advice.

Whatever you decide ---- get a Vmod or VmodXL to start off your Bottom Feeding experience.

Thanks for the update. Using standard 510 attys would be a big plus for me as I live in India and shipping supplies from the US could get really expensive. I am currently using eGoTs and am peeved off with it leaking and sliming up my fingers all the time. I have been kinda journalling my quest to find the right vape on this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/mods-discussion/253960-these-mods.html and have landed up spending sume big bucks on mods. I started looking for one and am about to get a whole lot more :)

I guess I will wait for the XL then. Hope they stock em soon. Also Hope this discount code I have lasts until then :)

The next batch of XL & Standard Vmods will be available in late January. They will both have the new design. I think Vapage is going to do a pre-sale with the current discount.

Thanks for the info AG Will keep an eye on their site. Am also subscribed to this thread, so hoping I can pounce on one as soon as its released. I have been avoiding bottom feeders until i saw the Vmod. Now i want one bad! :)

The chassis I am testing is ABS plastic. No cracks! Brian told me the XL is ABS and it is thicker.
I think I might purchase the XL when they become available again. They should really make a limited VV model- Im guessing demand wouldnt reach to the point where they would be making money? I wish, because that would make this the ULTIMATE!! Sorry if im bringing up old topics- lol so how about them boge's?
