what diff other than the cone on the 2.0 and the org? and yeah the checkering on the cone is a good idea now you can get a grip on it when taking it off

The Vmod2.0 is made so it will feed most any atty or carto, without modding them. Other changes make leaking nearly impossible.

It also has a metal chimney under the cone which replaces the upper seal (wide one) that goes on the atty/carto with version l. Also, there is no need for the tiny seal/o ring that has been pre-installed on the Hybrids and Silos. It's the Junior version of the XL which is getting rave reviews and who knows, it might even have some more updates?

Damn! My V-Mod developed a leak in between the plastic and the metal collar where I screw in the bottle! i'm so frustrated right now.. I guess going back to my trusty Provari and DCT MAP Tank for now! I"m starting to love the V_Mod and it started to leak! :(

Darn! I bet we could de-bug it --- I'm guessing a crack in the chassis (super glue works good) or perhaps a cracked bottle at the neck. I've heard of that, tho not experienced it. There's a seal in that part too -- check it out.

Or, just contact Vapage customer service---I believe it's under warranty.

Try giving it a good bath. If the seal that seals the top of the bottle doesn't come out when you remove the bottle it may be pushed too far into the collar. Take something and hook the seal and pull it out carefully. Look it over to make sure it is not worn out or has a tear. This seal comes with the 2 pk of bottles. Wash everything and let dry. Fit the seal on top of the bottle and screw it into the collar. Mine has done this a few times and the wash helped............

I think I narrowed it down to 2 causes.. it's either there's a space between the bottle and the plastic. which I put a thin foam in between to it will not tilt the bottle when squeezing. or the catch cup has liquid and when I turn it over to feed the liquid escapes the catch cup down to the sides and leaks inside the plastic through the collar where the bottle screws into. also made sure I don't over feed to prevent liquid going into the catch cup. so.. so far.. the leak is gone. but Ill keep an eye on it and see if these fixed the leaking problem.

I guess I can't be too surprised this thread is still going.

I could never get the hang of the VMOD. It might just be user error, but I have all the seals in place and it still leaks. Too bad really. I really wanted it to work for me.

I can tell you the XL doesn't leak at all, and the standard Vmod is supposed to be updated in Feb with the new changes incorporated into the XL. Unfortunately that means buying a new unit though.

That's good to hear. tearose50 was kind enough to fill me in on the details.
