Hi everyone,
I've been reading this thread for a while and want an update on this mod, as far as everyone with a cracked body being given a new one. Has everyone gotten there's or are people still waiting? The VMOD looks great (I especially like the skins idea) but I hate the idea of using proprietary cartos. As good as they may be, being dependent on one website for all supplies, etc. makes me uncomfortable. When they are out of stock, it's not like you can go find cartos somewhere else. I also read a few pages where deadlines for the body replacements came and went and many people were still waiting.
I really appreciate the enthusiasm VMODers have; it must be a great vaping machine but I still have my doubts on whether to spring for one. It sounds like new product and accessories are in the works from the company but will these products be available to the general public on the vape fest dates or will I have to wait longer for them to trickle down after the fest?
Sorry to rain on the parade-just want some answers before spending any more money.

Cheers,

David

David,
The replacement Chassis are being mailed out this week (or may have been mailed already this week) I can tell you with 100% assurance that if you were to purchase one of the Vmods that you would be getting the one with the updated chassis in the kit. As for the proprietary cartos thing, I don't really use the cartos at all, I use the Hybrid attys that are available at Vapage and Clouds of Vapor and I think there is like maybe 1 or 2 other sites that are selling there Vmod as well so I would assume that they would be stocking the cartos and attys there too:) I for one have become more of a fan of Vapage ove rthe course of the last 2 months because of the awesome customer service and the fact that they really do listen to what input there customers have to offer and have already proven that they are more than willing to take our input to heart and make some of our wants a reality. If you are looking for a great mod that won't break the bank and a great company to do business with then I would go for it. I am sorry that I can't answer with 100% certainty about Vape fest but I think I remember Brian saying they would have there new products for sale with them at the Vape fest in Vegas, and I know that he said they would be for sale on the site around the same time. I hope this helps you with your decision and remember the is a cupon code to use to get 15% off
(vapin15 is one and barfly is the other) And welcome to the VMOD thread:)

Here's my version!!! LOL -- a bunch beat me to it!
Hey David --

I'll summarize some of this for you:

The new chassis is out and is in all the current "a la carte" kits that have been sold for some days now. The kits are available in the black and chrome.

We've been getting news tidbits here on what is coming ---- some will surely be available at Vape Fest in Vegas. Thus, you see the batteries and charger; some ideas for some skins (metal covers actually) & talk of other designs not seen yet. I have no clue what other surprises may come out at Vape Fest....but I kinda guess there will be something.

Brian, one of the owners, is in China now getting it all together. He's also been in touch with various ECFers to help out on some of the difficulties that have come up regarding communications and also to keep us updated. As you probably know, as a supplier, he and his crew at Vapage can not post on this thread.

Frankly -- they have been very busy. No excuse, I know, but true. They also changed customer service personnel not too long ago and are short staffed with "the boss" making sure all the products are even better.

On the Proprietary --- one can use any 510 atty or carto on the Vmod. But, you'd have to go back to dripping, carts or topping off cartos. That's not a bad back up. It is true that part of the majic of this mod is the feed system, which requires holes in the atty. At least one owner has modded her own carto's.

IMHO it's a pretty nifty feed system -- the first of its kind. The PV is small and pretty hand & pocket friendly and hits pretty amazing for such a small mod. That's not just my opinion but has been said a lot.

Hope this sums it up for you --- and you don't have 10 other shorter answers as I've typed this!!

Hi David,

You've got all the answers to your questions, so all I can add is you know you want one, right? :)

I am being lighthearted but in the same vein I do understand your concerns. I also thought I was not one for anything proprietary, but, in fact, I find that I vape particular vapes in particular PVs. I tend to put certain juices in one, and other juices in another. I do the same with attys. I've done this prior to vaping on the VMOD.

I highly doubt that after trying out this PV you will be concerned about any of the things you mentioned.

I'm not sure what you read about body replacements and people waiting for them, as Vapage has done their best with not only listening to issues, but serving their customers immediately.

All that said, just try one out. I have a strong feeling you'll not be disappointed.

My :2c: (but with inflation more like 10 bucks)

I know mine has been through hell this week in my pocket and it's still going like new . I am still using the stock atty that came with the ket(4 day's now) and two came with the ket . So the way thing's are going it will be a while before I even get to the Hybrid Atty's I ordered .
If your thinking of getting a mod this is the one to get for sure . Best $100 buck's I have ever spent . I just love not having to top it off every few hit's with liquid like most vap's do . Just give the bottle a little push and off you go . As sone as I get another $60 buck's im going to order another one . I'm going to put one in my tuck , car , boat and keep one in my pocket and give a few out at xmas . Going to make a great gift too..think about it.
Now I just got to fine some juice's I reall like .

On proprietary mods, I get that. I was VERY hesitant about this mod at first. Plastic chassis....yeah right, how long will that last. I've had reos...built tough. So I decided to try the atty. It was so freaking awesome on my grand and mini! The complexity of flavors in my juice absolutely POPPED! I was sold. A lot of poo-pooing this atty on reos and frying them yet I had no problems, but the threaded end of the AMG is certainly different, so I gave the Vmod a try. I vaped the Vmod side by side against my grand (18650 batt no less) for a few days topped with AMGBF attys and I can tell you the flavor is the BOMB with the Vmod. In the end, I sold ALL my reos.

Vapage is at the head of the pack with their design & ongoing R&D. Best is they are reading this thread and addressing performance/build issues. :thumb:

That's what I thought too.

Be proactive & fill out the form for the new chassis. :2c:

I stopped recommending the Vmod or the Hybrid Atomizers some time ago.

It works like a beast when everything is in order, but my experience is something i don't want anyone to go through. I hope they sort out their problems, both with manufacturing and CS, because the product and the idea is solid, and then i'll gladly introduce more people to the Vmod club. Right now, no way.

I'm sorry you feel that way. :(

It's a particular shame since all of the improved parts & hybrids are shipping this week.

I think I'll hang on...it's been a fun ride for me. I appreciate Vapage taking our input & actively using it to improve the products.

The girl they now have handling the CS is doing her best, but the guy she replaced left a mess.

Whew!

I can sleep now!
