I feel they are trying to fix and improve and its at their expense. Most places improve something and expect you to purchase the new type. They are replacing the parts free of charge I believe. That impresses me for a small company.Think how much they are losing.Just the shipping alone will be alot. Its not everyday you see a company stand up and do the right thing just because its the right thing to do.

They really should work on that. Even a somewhat copy&pasted response would be enough to let you know they've received your mail/form or whatever.

I ran my own business for several years, and i was also in charge of CS, and i know people feels relieved when you answer them in a timely manner.

They are working on that. New CS, but they are having to clean up a mess from prior employee and keep up w/day to day. Patience is awesome in a situation like this, and as a business owner you should know that **it happens so you hope that your customers will be patient and understanding, knowing that you are doing the best that you can do as issues are being resolved. It's a shame that we live in the "instant gratification" "I want NOW" world and forget that messes take time to clean up.

ok, sent in the form for a replacement...this pretty much sucks btw. kinda unhappy with vapage :(

1) They are sending out replacement chassis for FREE, 2) You will have a backup chassis that works as good as new w/a dab of super glue. I kinda think that's pretty friggin awesome of them, we're not even paying for postage!!

I stopped recommending the Vmod or the Hybrid Atomizers some time ago.

It works like a beast when everything is in order, but my experience is something i don't want anyone to go through. I hope they sort out their problems, both with manufacturing and CS, because the product and the idea is solid, and then i'll gladly introduce more people to the Vmod club. Right now, no way.

I don't understand that broad statement. This was my very first mod. My only other experience with vaping are kr8's w/carto's. I never even used an atty b4. I would say my experience was pretty friggin smooth considering my knowledge level. I've had more headaches and hassles trying to use a ce2. Fluff this, snip that, take this out, put that in. Crack here, mod this. Let's see did they replace those faulty things w/a newer version for FREE?? No.

My lil' precious has been very very good to me and low maintenance to date.

This is a NEW PRODUCT. There will be bumps in the road, it's how Vapage handles those bumps that can make or break them. IMO (No H here) They have gone beyond most other company's, left em in the dust cloud. Vapage has the best cs that I have ran across in a very very long time. They have my total loyalty because of it, which I don't give loosely. Of course you can't please everyone no matter how much you try, there will always be some that well..... .....

And as much as I agree with you, Vikki, I really get Mim's point. I adore my VMOD, but it is not working the way I know it can and should. I had it with me last nite, but hesitated to let a wannabe vaper try it out. I knew that even my Riva was hitting better and I didn't want that to be her first impression of the VMOD.

These pro and con statements towards Vapage and the EQ reminds me that ECF is our community and as such, we all have the precious right to express our opinions. Negative reactions are just as important as positive ones. The positive ones give reinforcement and a warm pat on the back, but the negatives promote improvements!

So much for my Yin and Yang comments. Now, everyone, back to vaping! :D

Just to hopefully help put one thing to rest --- I don't think anyone has received a notification that Vapage received the filled out notification forms. Sure, someone could say "they should have set up an auto response" -- well, they didn't and don't have one on their inquiry email lines as well.

It doesn't seem uncommon or out of line to me -- even computer product support companies only occasionally acknowledge receipt of messages ---and when they do, tell you someone will contact you in X days, which is often Y or Z and then very frequently don't answer your question on that 2 day late email and like to send you to FAQ, regardless of you saying --- I couldn't find anything in FAQ, so I'm writing to find out .....

I'm still on my first atty from about 3 weeks ago. In the beginning I tasted alot of burnt taste and thought this sucks, shouldn't it taste better. It wasn't until maybe a week ago I started pumping more juice into it and realised how well the juice tastes. I was concerned about leakage and breakage if I pumped it too firm. I have no clue when I need to change the atty but as long as it's vaping I'm going to use the same one.

Beezer, I have noticed a soapy, metalic taste to 3 of the newest attys introduced the past couple of months, including the AMG. They all have a lot more SS mesh than other attys I have used and I wonder if this is what my pallet is picking up on. I get it in the first few drags to several hours dependent on the atty, AMG being only a few minutes. However, I get it back on a seasoned atty if I let them run too dry and interestingly enough if I flood.

Does that sound at all like what you might be tasting?

Vape that sucker till it stiffens, weakens, or quits :D

Ken, vape in bliss dude! That crack can be easily sealed with scotch tape (like mine) or super glue. Based on my dissection, the crack does NOT cause leakage. That comes from the venture which is that little nipple looking thing in the middle of the feed chamber that the fire wire goes under. If you over feed which is really easy to do, it can leak. If you follow AG's instruction to ONLY fill the neck while inverted, right and GENTLE press on the bottle, you should be golden.

See AG's mod of the Vmod to make a catch cup for the sepage if you need it. How do you know? Vape without the shell and you can see. :)

ok, i've been vaping on my vmod(old chasis bleh) for a couple hours now. i must say i'm very impressed with this little PV, even if i am a tad concerned that it will crack at any moment. Hope i get a email or something saying the upgraded chasis is coming soon :)

Probably so. On another good note, my Liquinator just arrived and I'm going to introduce it to my Provari I picked up last week. I loaded it up with Apple Pie and hope they play well together :)

Update from Brian (still in China) about the backlog in CS. I emailed him w/a heads up about the frustrations. We all have to remember Vapage is part of Cig2o, so there is a lot going on w/CS and then us Vmodders have chanted our praises loudly as well as the AMG crowd. Plus remember all these neat new things we have seen in this thread, color shells, kits, etc.? Well they will be launching in Sept. Wouldn't surprise me if he is working on the 18650 mod for late 2011 release while he is there as well.

Brian says that out of 400 units, there have been a small number that have developed the crack. I can assure you it will not cause the chamber to leak. I will try and get a good photo of the chamber for everyone to see today. It just happens that any overfeeding can get between the chamber & plastic housing so it looks like it leaks there. If you over feed, you are going to have juice inside....bottom line. I was an over squonker from past BF mod experience. Also a bottle "over tightener" because on other mods you just have to or juice your mod guts.

The good news is that Brian says "I would say that by the end of the month our happy little Vapage family will be running smoothly again!" So that being said, if you are skeptical, wait a bit. No one is pushing another. I have no hesitation myself because the vape is da BOMB!

Just to be clear, i'm not bashing the Vmod or the AMG. I had horrible luck with the atomizers i received but at least 1 of them was fine and that gave me the best vape i've had so far.

But the point still stands, i got a lot of duds and while i can take it and try to be patient, i can't in good faith tell anyone else to go ahead and assure them it'll be perfect for them.

I understand they are also having problems sorting out the mess with a previous CS employee, and i guess that too will get solved soon.

Until then, i'll just wait and eat my frustration. I'd order some more hybrids like i did after the first dud, but waiting more than 1 week to receive 3/3 defective attys taught me not to risk it again.

I did have one dud atty, and two not tried yet. I know things happen and I'd love to get a replacement, but as I hadn't noticed it until quite some time later, I doubt it. I'm waiting, like everyone, for the new chassis. I do love my vmod, but we do have to remember, as mentioned, honest reviews both good and bad are necessary and should be welcomed!! I would hate for this thread to turn into some others I've seen...they can get pretty nasty. As with any product, there will be issues. So far, under the circumstances, I think vapage is handling it well. As said earlier, most vendors would be charging for the improved chassis! Kudos to them for that display of CS!

Anyone have any idea how much the bodies will be?? I can't wait to dress up my V :)

Nor did I think you were. Just a heads up as to when all should be upgraded/updated and you are not waiting and wondering.

1 week from California USA to Spain is pretty good IMO. My packages to The Netherlands take that +.

OK got a decent shot of the feed chamber. My camera is not macro :(

The lower "cylinder" is where the bottle screws in. The solid metal connecting the two cylinders is where the juice travels to the upper chamber, the feed chamber. It is completely solid. The leakage from over filling is coming from the venture. See the white gasket looking part and the silver "nipple"? That is where leakage can occur. Put too much juice in the chamber and it has to go somewhere ;-)
