Hi all.... So over the last week, I've read this entire thread. Thanks to AG and lots of others, I decided to try one out. So I got one (new chassis). Since then, it's been in constant use. I have to say, I own and have used countless setups, including 9 feeder mods. This little thing is by far the most low maintenance, reliable setup I have now. The catch cup went in in about five minutes and it was good to go. I've only gone through 3 juice bottles so far, but have absolutely ZERO leakage. No learning curve. Nothing to complain about. I think it's safe to say I'll add (at least) one more so I can have a few flavors on tap, and if they offer an 18650 version, I'll have one of those too. It's so nice to have a device that doesn't require "fiddling" with it constantly (be it dripping, changing batteries, topping off cartos, carrying spare parts, extra batteries, extra atomizers, etc). My IFR 250 batteries and 2.8 cartos should be here in the next day or so and I'll be able to try 6v on it too! Good times!

In fact, my best friend actually decided to give vaping a go, but didn't want to mess with stuff all the time (he says the true beauty of an analog is that it's there in his pocket, when he wants one he doesn't have to do anything, and he ALWAYS knows it's gonna work). So I recommended this as his first device. His should be here in the next day or so. I'll help him get it set up, show him how to fill it and change the battery, and let him loose. He already tried mine, and had no issues at all with the "squonk process". I think he's good to go.

Pie in the sky wishlist? At some point, if they can come up with a VV model at a reasonable price, I'd be a very happy guy!

Good job, Brian, et all - you knocked this one out of the park.

Now a question for any of you who use it at 6v: I also ordered a 2 pack of 2.5 BF atties. Anyone tried those on 6v yet?

Welcome JazzGuy and StotheK !!! Good choice you have made. :)

Good Morning/Afternoon to all vmodians :)

I just had 2 silo's go south on me. a 2.8 and a 1.8. Thought it was just a batt needing to be swapped out, but all batts were fine in new chassis. so i switched out the silo and no good, switched out again and works fine... Anybody have any issues w/silos??

HAPPINESS IS VAPING MY VMOD !!

Did you check them with a multimeter and see if they have a resistance?

If they do, try inserting a bent paper clip into the connection end and pull out the center pin a smidgen. It might not be making a connection.

Sometimes just wiping out the cup will make the connection better too.

Hi all! And welcome to Vmodia, Jazz and StotheK (Sto?).

Update on Chassis 1 (first run): my drops of super glue are holding extremely well, and there is not a leak in site! My home made EASY TO INSTALL  catch cup is also juice-free.

However, there was an enormous wasp flying inside on the window! EEEEEEEEECK!

Summer time....... and (part of) the livin' is eeeeeeeeeasy.

Thx AG :)..
I don't have a multimeter yet, so I dunno. I did notice that on one of them the o-ring on the bottom was pretty thick, might be the problem, looked like it was in the way of the connection. I'll never know now as I don't know how to get em back in once they come out, I don't think you can lol. So that one is goin in my "oops pile". I will work on fixing/breaking the other one now

I really need a better online name :) It's actually S to the K (my initials are SK) :) It's really fun when people try to say stothek out loud. SteveK is generally a hard name to get especially on big forums, so I thought I was being clever, story of my life :)

Anyway, I thought I'd share something about my VMOD since I'm here. I still had some leaking after installing the upgrade stuff which was minimal. Then I saw here that people were totally leak free after they installed the drip cup. Then yesterday, I swapped out the little bottle with the one in the kit I hadn't used yet. Ever since then, this thing has been dry except for the tiniest of droplets.

I dare say I had a funky bottle or something. Now I REALLY like this thing.

:grr:Still no vmod today. I am kicking myself for not paying for UPS shipping. I ordered it on August 19th, and got an email stating shipment on the 29th ( not sure why it took 10 days to ship considering it was billed on the 19th ) and still nothing in the mailbox. I sent an email to vapage earlier but have not heard anything back yet. I think tomorrow will be time to make a phone call. Sorry for the rant but my wife is tired of hearing it.

Very odd, Highspeed.... I ordered on a Friday morning and got it the next Monday (Texas here). I guess we'll see how quickly my buddy gets his; he ordered on Monday. Hope you get it soon.

AG - yes the 2.5's look HOT at 6v on paper. But sometimes the numbers don't tell the whole tale. Although the 2.8's were still listed on their site, they emailed to say that there were none, and 2.5 was the closest possible. Eh, I don't mind being a guinea pig!

And everyone - thank you for the welcome! Although I'm late to the party, I'm happy to be here!

I had posted a while ago about a burnt / metallic taste on 1.8 / 2.0 / 2.2 Silos with all / any of my DIY juices (which are VERY lightly flavored).
I decided I would try an old trick used to resurrect attys- by soaking the silos in Pepsi overnight, then rinse with a lot of hot water- then let dry for a day.
I am now happily using any ohm silo without 'that taste'. Not sure how or why it worked- but I am a happy vaper now that I can use more than just the 2.8 silos.
Thought I'd share in case anyone else comes across the same problem.

I feel your pain. This was from last week whereas Brian was going to "sort my order out" and take care of it as they have a new girl in CS that rocks. Going on two weeks now and not a word...but....silence.

I was expecting my chassis and 1.8 silos I ordered but they sent 2.2's yesterday or today. No show. Oh well. The wait patiently continues.
