Vchick, you might also want to contact them and ask them to install the catch cup for you on the replacement. I could do it for you, but I'd have to charge like about a million dollars.

It's a PITA to put in. (IM notso HO) ;)

Flench, we all hear and understand your frustration. Vapage WILL take care of any issues. They completely stand behind their products and are very proud of them. They also want all of us to be Happy VMODians! I'm glad to see that you asked your questions here, and since we don't seem to have YOUR answer, would you please report back to us what you find out from them? That would be helpful to other people along the VMOD train.

Hey V....

I'm surprised by these newer reports of a crack in the chassis. The pin and bushing was supposed to keep the feed chamber anchored and eliminate the stress on the plastic, which was causing the crack. I'm sure the Vapage people will make it right for you though. Like most any company, they'll want the defective product back, so they can see what's going on with it. Since you've been reading here, you know there was an extensive ordeal involving finding the flaw causing the crack and then figuring out how to stop it from happening.

Flench...

I hope they are able to sort out your problems with the carto. Dark sweet juices can be carto killers, but I would think you would still get a longer life than a few days. As I mentioned earlier...I love VR4 from Vaperite, but it is stone cold carto killer. I've never had a carto last more than a couple of fills with it. It doesn't fare much better in an atty...

Just got my brand spankin' new VMod "set" yesterday (the latest & greatest that Brian just got in) & have been in vapin' heaven!!! It's so awesome!! Everything is pre-installed which is great for a relative newbie like myself...(was concerned with the catch cup etc) It came with silver case/shell & cone/2 bottles/charger usb/wall/2 black drip tips/1 hybrid BF 2.0 atty/1-2.2 Silo cartomizer/extra purple case(shell)/cone & I bought 4 extra hybrid BF attys 1.5 & 2.0. Really lovin' it! Only been using for a day but everything works like a charm - no leaks - no problems what-so-ever. (Fingers crossed) The batteries (have a blue wrap on them) and came fully charged - I topped them off and have gone through one & now on the the second with relatively heavy vaping in the last 24 hours. The charger is red when charging and green when fully charged. The cartomizer works fine...but I really love the 1.5 hybrid BF (no off taste at all)!! I was thinking I was not going to be able to fully get off the analogs (been trying for about 6 months) but this may do it! (Did the Greensmokes...ugggghh...and then the Ego-T...still not even close to doing it for me...) besides maybe a Provari in the future...I am very happy as of now. I love the Pretty Purple and it all came in a really nice silver metal box for storage~customer service was wonderful and it shipped very quickly. (I called it in). Sweet - sweet deal! This is a "must"...Just sayin'...:)

This is not good . Just gota e-mail form vapage . here it is . Guess I will tryand find a e-cig tha the carto's will last .
here is part of the email .

The VMOD Silo Cartomizers can last up to 2 weeks or so, but it really depends on your usage. If you are vaping a lot throughout the day, it is possible to burn up a cartomizers in just a day or two. If you are getting one week out of a cartomizers, that is pretty average. I see you ordered the hybrid atomizers once before back in August. How’d those work for you? The atomizers will give you a longer life than the silo cartomizers you inquired on. The cartos have a poly-fill fiber while the hybrids have a wire mesh.
END EMAIL .
Now the hybrids did not last any longer that any other's .
I will have to find one that last longer . I have had them to last a full month wih other brand's .Had two to last 3 month's but they don't make it any more. I can not aford to buy a carto every 2 day's so I guess I will go back to smoking or save back up and buy another mod or make another .

Flench, right now I'm sure there is nothing you want to hear from those of us who are happy with the VMOD, but I do feel compelled to say that I'm so very sorry it did not work out for you. :(

I wish you would hang out to find out the answer. I have a feeling it will come eventually.

But, I do not believe that going back to smoking will bring that answer.

Sorry.

Actually, Pegasus, that is not true. I vape very heavily and get a lot of life out of my silos and atomizers, as do many, many others (see previous posts). Congrats on finding a mod that you like and that works well for you! I do hope that everyone finds what works well for them. Unfortunately there is no single solution that fits everyone perfectly, but that's part of the fun! I hope you continue to enjoy it as much as most of us do!!!

Right on, Jazzguy! Not every piece of hardware is gonna work for everyone 100% of the time. It would be mighty boring if we all had the same gear, huh?

Just finished a longevity test w/a 2.5 BF hybrid in my Vmod.....40 days of chain vaping (5-8ml/day, sometimes more), no cleanings, blew out ONLY when I sampled yucky flavors. Ran it hard on purpose. If it had been in rotation, it would have lasted a whole lot longer, like maybe 80 days. Any atty that gives me a month of faithful and hard service is a win for me. YMMV.

TY Vapage!!!! I haven't touched another atty since I found you except to try the i06 which was meh for me.

Hear hear!!!! You nailed it, Katdarling!

Flench, I truly, sincerely hope you find a solution that fits your needs. I understand you are angry and frustrated, but badmouthing a product that isn't working for YOU right now (apparantly it did for a while judging by your past posts) is not going to help you or anyone else. I also think you are probably a very nice and levelheaded guy, but frustration can sometimes get in the way of reason and logic - we've all been there. For instance, if a carto every two days is too expensive (at $3 a pop), I'm sure going back to smoking isn't going to be any cheaper. I don't know how much they run in memphis, but they are about $6 a pack here, and if you vape heavily, a quarter pack a day probably wouldn't cut it, and that would be the same price, not less. Not to mention the price paid in your health. If you really want some help, let us help you. If you really don't want that, well that's okay too. But please don't come in here badmouthing a product that IS WORKING VERY WELL for a whole lot of people. There are a lot of potential solutions out there and I'm confident there is something that will work for everyone, including you. And I really do hope you find your solution soon, whether it be the VMod, or a homemade box mod, or any number of other things.

I'm truly sorry you feel the way you do right now. But take a deep breath, relax, and find your solution!

I also hope you will stick around, but if you decide to go another direction, I wish you the best!

Is it hard for me to see others bad mouth Vapage? Heck yeah. For me, it's a great product line. Yeah, I'm fangirl #1. Wanna make somthin' of it?

HOWEVER, it was voicing all of our problems & frustrations that brought us to the improved chassis. I would hate to see people having problems not feeling comfortable to come here and ask for help.

Just sayin........

Originally I was having lots of leaking too in my VMOD. But it took me using it with the Shell off for a week to see exactly what was going on.

The leaking points I found were as follows:

Where the Bottle screws in. Sometimes when feeding if the connection wasn't solid it could leak down through the threads. Making sure the bottle is on straight or adding a o-ring cleared that up.

Top Seal around the atty/carto. Be sure to put it on dry and not excessively squeezing the bottle cleared that up.

Most of my leaks came from the Spring Assembly. It goes to the bottom of the atty/carto. Feeding the atty/carto to much caused some juice to leak out the bottom which then went along the metal bar to the spring, then around the spring to the far side of the chassis on the outside of the battery between the chassis and the outer shell. The newer Atty's seemed to of cleared up most of the leaking and not overfeeding cleared that up the rest.

Below that the Catch Cup addition helped stem most gravity leaking juice out the bottom of the atty. If you did still have some leaking down into the catch cup you could (like me) fabricate a larger one if needed. Any extra carto condom can be made to fit with a little patience and an xacto knife.

The only other leaking problem I had in the past was the old Chassis cracking. New one has been going great since arrival.

I'm not sure any of this will help, but I'm hoping some of my experiences can offer some insight.

There is certainly a little learning curve with the VMOD. Once that's done though, it works outstanding. For as small as this Mod is, it sure puts out massive amounts of vapor.

Yes, I absolutely agree, Tierrataz. And I would view it in a completely different light if all it entailed was voicing a problem and frustration, and being open to assistance offered. I don't think it's helpful to reply to someone new coming into the thread excited about their new purchase and imply they made a bad decision, backing it up with bad information. To me, that's badmouthing. However, I also don't think he meant any harm by it, he's understandably frustrated and maybe a little angry. But it's always best to stay positive and helpful in all situations, and that's what I'm trying to do here.

If I came off as snarky, I apologize, that was not my intention. I was serious when I said I hope he finds the perfect solution for him, and that I wish him the best.
