Lads and Lassies, has Vapage/Brian ever chimed in on dry burning the Hybrids? Many people say that it absolutely shortens the life of an atty, so while it may be a good short-term solution, we do pay the consequences.

On another note, I attended one of our local vape Meets yesterday and of course showed off my VMODS. Guess who attended as one of our vendors? vape-A-Licious! Candy and Dlight were, (ok, have to) Sweet and Delightful! I spoke to her about our thread and how many of us have enjoyed AG's Dream on our VMODS. I was fortunate to be able to sample some of her other juices. The Holiday Cider to me was Yum-A-Licious.

Hey Kat! lucky dawg going to a vape meet. Have you tried their WTA?

I don't remember anything from the Vapage boys about dry burning, but I know from another well respected maker...it's a no-no. The resurrection thread was just that....to resurrect an otherwise unusable atty that still metered good. It has risks.

I was a bad vaper and tried to use some macerated tobacco.....4 hybrids and one week later, I had so much carbon build up and tried to dry burn....POP! Too much particulate in that joose!!! I won't be using it in my hybrids ever again. :)

Dry burning is supposed to be the last resort for an atomizer. Some swear by it though, so there ya go. None of the manufacturers are going to tell you it's ok. Mostly because it's too easy to pop one when dry burning.

The only macerated tobacco juice I really care for is W2V Acid Blondie Cigar. It's fairly clean, but I haven't had any in awhile, so I can't say how it would fare in a hybrid atty.

Candy & DLite are awesome! They are two of the nicest people I've met on ECF...present company excluded...;)

My Vmod must be broken, although it has always behaved this way so I must have a defective one.
Over the months I've been reading about how users would get desperate when they were out of BF's or Silos and how they would put their Vmod in the drawer until they got more supplies or they decided to plug in the Dremel and mod out some cartos to use.

I've been using standard 2.0 Ohm Boge attys with a drip tip on mine and they feed just fine.
I also use Boge 2.0 cartos and dual coils on the Vmod and it has no trouble feeding the carto.
All's that I do is make sure that I haven't screwed the carto down too tight. I also use the little washer seal on the Boges or dual coils

Other people tell me that is impossible so there must be something wrong with my PV.
:p

I got some 510 duals laying around guess I'll try the "Loosey-Goosey" technique tomorrow and see what happens. I do feel a nice warm bath for the Vmod on the horizon.........

By little washer do you mean the thin one on the bottom or the thicker one that goes around the cartro?

@intriqken, it's not impossible, but on a loose carto, the only way for juice to get in is either through the threading's pinholes, or through the main air inlet at the bottom. So without a hole/slit/lifted barrel, juice has to go down into the air passage to feed. Now, maybe that's as far down as it will leak, and seeing as one way or another there's often seepage anyway, maybe it's no worse than usual?

How much juice are you finding when you open it up, like around the catch-cup etc?

The beauty of the VMod is that it's a better design. Most older style bottom feeders had a tube or needle that squirshed juice up into the carto, right up the air tube. In come cartos that's OK, in others it's not very effective, in others yet it kills the carto. At best it's like pouring juice all over everything.

The Vmod's squirsh pushes juice into a space that is only used for liquid. The (factory or modified) carto/atty has openings at the bottom of the barrel that connects with that space, so liquid feeds precisely right into the carto's filler. The air pathway is unaffected.
