I would like to say impressive packaging, speedy shipping. Over all first impression top notch, things are clean no scratches or dings, good color on the carto's and batteries.

One question, I thought that someone said the batteries came fully charged? Not that I will check with a volt meter but i'm putting them on the charger any ways and they are charging... and as i was typing the light flipped over to charged after just a few minutes so question answered.

first hit, i picked the watermellon from the sampler because i figured it would be the least favorite... holy wow is it nice and smooth, excellent job on the flavoring it's just like some good watermelon i had the other day.

My wife just opened up a 555, its ok, just not a flavor i like, everything is very smooth.

I remember when I got my first Volts. The first drag from that battery and carto combination about knocked my socks off! That was almost a year ago and I still love them. I just use a few of SI's juices but the hardware is where it's at for me. SI's blank cartos are good to keep on hand, for their juices as well as juice from other places.

Glad you hava a good first impression. Let us know how the Volts are working out for you and be sure to ask any questions you have. :)

it seems my coil is staying fired up and i have to pull the carto off my auto battery or it just keeps getting hot

Is the battery light staying on? If it is the battery may be defective. You might want to either call or email Smokeless Image (you can send an email from their website). One of the people there could help figure out what is causing that.

Every once in a while one of my autos will "stick" on. After I loosen the carto and then re-tighten it that stops. But it shouldn't happen with a brand new battery.

Well if it's the asic inside stuck when it reaches the cut off time it stops and resumes normal operation on stand by.
If you get power on the terminals and the led is off then the asic (little chip inside the sensor) is shorted out and useless OR something has shorted out.

Try to screw a cold carto again and watch closely if you hear the noise made by the carto and if it gets warm to verify.

Then remove the carto.

Remove the grey ash cap on the other end of the battery with a small screwdriver (or something small enough to fit the small side holes) and pry it off to expose the airflow sensor.

Look inside, there should be a small disk type sensor visible with three wires on it, one red (battery +) one yellow (power output to carto) and a black one (ground, battery -).
See if the red or yellow are shorted together or any combination of those.

Something else that might help is to use your finger and tap the end of the battery several times to unstuck the diaphragm usually this does the trick. Then use a carto to see if this happens again.

If it does not work again then you have to get a replacement from SI but make sure if you send it back to COVER the battery connector (the one you screw the carto on) with electrical tape to prevent it from shorting out during shipping etc.

www.
If you blow through the battery, it will activate the sensor and it will fire for 7seconds and not turn off. This is normal. Blowing through will remove any air pockets in the sensor. If you are sucking, and the light turns off when you stop, the battery is not firing.

Are you taking long or short drags? The longer the drag, the warmer the carto will get. This is normal.

If you re concerned, call them. They are awesome about trouble shooting and replacing batteries. The couple that I had that I want happy with (too airy for me) they replaced and didn't even have me send the old one back.

Thank you,

Checked for shorts, looks clean nothing touching or any solder run amuck.
Checked with cold carto, no noises of any sort i could pick up while attaching it.
Put the same carto back on the battery and have been using it gently and checking it often, no problems now.

Maybe the diaphragm stuck at first? All seems to be good for now, Its a learning curve thank you for helping the newbie out.

Mroutlaw, i only blew through the battery after i picked it up and found it was pretty warm feeling, but reading your reply helps me to understand what most likely caused it to happen now,

i hit pretty short most of the time, but i was putting the cap back after i used it, so with a good seal it most likely pushed air back though the carto, tripped the sensor and went for 7 seconds and i just happened to catch it right after words?

all is well, my wife and i have been trying them out all day and are very pleased.

i think i need some coffee flavors the 555 smells like straw to me but other than that its not bad.

I'm a fan of bold flavors and the blu disposable tobacco flavored cig was more of a coffee carmel creamer taste to me that i really liked

I've only been vaping around 2 months now. I'm still exploring flavors that I feel I might like. I find that I am leaning towards coffee flavors, also. I can recommend some vendors that you may like.

One of my favorites so far is Kona Coffee Velvet Milkshake from Virgin Vapors. She also has a variation of this flavor with Caramel I haven't tried yet (but will eventually). I tried the Kona Velvet Shake because it came in third place in a yearly poll here at ECF recently. I was initially disappointed in it and put it aside for a couple of weeks. After allowing it to steep, I tried it again. Wow! It was complex and full of rich flavor; extremely smooth and satisfying. It is in my daily rotation now. I am currently awaiting my second bottle.

A second favorite is Amaretto Coffee with Cream from Mrs.T's Bakery. This one was great upon delivery; relatively strong yet smooth. The amaretto is not too strong or overpowering, adds some sweetness and complexity to the coffee. This one is also in my rotation. Working on my second bottle now.

Just received Coffee from Copper Creek yesterday. I've been vaping it all day, it's that good. Less complex than the previous two, more like a freshly brewed cup of ground black coffee, with maybe a cube of sugar. I'm curious to see if gets even better as time goes on ... if it lasts that long. Will probably buy again.

So, I'd recommend all three. Check out their descriptions and reviews on their websites. Vape on!:vapor:

Can you link to that poll?
I'd like to see what the results are.

Excellent I will have to make a list and work my way through it. Right now I am on the hunt for something very much like a Djarum, I started on the S, then specials, switched back and forth between the blacks and specials, but in the end i was mostly buying their splash.

Its more of a drinking/relaxing smoke for me, i dont want much if any nic, i have been using 0mg carto's for the most part.

I guess i need to figure out how to just load one up for 3 or 4 analogs woth because after that im done for a month or so and it would be a waste to fill a whole carto
