Vicks, I thought I was the only one that used the word "muggy". My wife teases me when I say that. I grew up in Ohio and my dad always said that so I picked it up from him.

PTJD, I haven't been there in a while but I would say that the Argosy casino in kinda middle of the road. I think the Ameristar is a little nicer but the last time I went to the Argosy it was alright. I have never stayed the night there so can't tell you what the rooms are like. My wife and I aren't into gambling so it has been some time since we have been to any of the casinos here. The last time we went to Argosy was a few years ago when my dad came for a visit.

Are you staying home for this vacation? The only one we will be taking this year is a short trip that we promised the kids to St. Louis to go to the magic house and see the arch. Maybe like three days or so. There have been alot of unforseen expenses this year so finances don't allow for a big trip this year.

My vacation is set for VapeFest. Really the only time I'll travel this year. Might take a few days off in the fall/winter to move again (my apartment is really TOO small) so yea, I hear ya, Wiz.

Having fun with the kiddies is a good vacation, though....just stay away from the fries (I hear potatoes have nicotine in them 8-o)

Hitt......I am heading up to Nothern Mi in August(Traverse City area),My Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles used to live up there....Unfortunatly they have passed on. We stay at a cottage that my Aunt and Uncle used to own.It has changed hands a few times since their passing....but we still get a family discount when we go! I Just hope Lake Michigan is warm enough to swim in....That is one cold lake!

I can't believe it. I stopped at the tobacco shop on the way home and when I got back in my car it wouldn't start. I just had an $850 repair done. This time it turned over but would not start. I had to have it towed again. I can't believe this happened twice in one week. I just got home a little bit ago after leaving work at 4:30. I am hoping that this problem is something that the mechanic didn't fix right or maybe knocked something loose when he had the steering column apart. I will just have to wait to see tomorrow.

Vicks, thanks for the link. I'll go check it out later.

Wiz, I was thinking I saw an article on yahoo where someone had one of those houses on a large property or something. It would be like moving into one of my walk in closets. Do they sprinkle honey bee on the fries now?
    Nope.....Just salt and Poschl Ozona!:D

    Too funny - a portable house :D

Thanks for the link, Wiz - I love floor plans
To be honest....I would take one of those 89ft specials...Sell the house I have and all the stuff....and move to Nothern Mi in a heartbeat! Of Course the kids could'nt come!..LOL! Maybe after they're gone and I am divorced!;)

I went up this morning in my wife's car and talked to the guy at the garage about my car. He said they were going to hook it up to the diagnostic machine and he would call me later. Wiz you did get off cheap. I'm just glad I have a company car that they pay the repairs for. I lost my time dealing with it but that's about it. My boss had one of my coworkers pick me up this morning so I was only about an hour or so late to work. I lost almost half a day on friday.

The computer module is bad in my car and they said it would be fixed either tomorrow afternoon or friday morning. I don't know that the two break downs had anything to do with each other but who knows. My jeep has been a great vehicle for the past seven or eight years with almost no repairs but these two have me a little gun shy now.

PTJD, mine doesn't have quite that many miles on it. I'm at 107,000. I'm not due for a trade in for a little while. I still like my car but after two break downs in a week it's got me just a little scared.

Yeah, I drive all over Okla so anytime my car is in the shop its idle time for me. 2 in a week would kill me!

I usually only do service calls within about a one hour radius of kansas city. The service calls are real hit and miss right now. The first couple years I was with this company I was out doing calls 2-3 days a week. Now I probably don't do 2-3 calls a week. Almost all of my time is spent in the shop now. I am honestly surprised they still give me a company vehicle. I am thankful for it though.

Mornin boys. Sorry about the car, hitt. I had a sway bar stabilizer go on me and a belt the next day. Not related, but expensive nonetheless. We are in the middle of putting up the new barn. Got the framing done yesterday, siding, roofing and flooring today. I have a nice redneck sunburn and I'm exaused, but I'm happy to see it finally going up. Can't wait to get the animals in it!!!

Hi Firechick!! My neighbor just built a shed in his backyard. It had to be on one of those 90+ degree days.....I was burning up watching him from inside my house with the air on!

I am going to be in the market for TWO new cars(actually one may be used...or whatever I can get for under 10k),My wifes lease is up in Dec and they have pull-ahead incentives right now. She's currently driving a Chevy Blazer(which I hate....too small on the inside),and we're thinking of a Impala or Malibu. My car is a 95' Crown Victoria with 80,000 miles on it. It has been one repair after another.....even with the low milage....the rust is starting to put it's mark on the vehicle. I just can't justify soaking another $500 into it! I'm going to start looking this week.....Preferably something buily in this century!

I feel your pain Wiz. I have a company car but my wife's car just hit 100,000 and she's itching for an SUV that will seat seven so she can haul around the girls and their friends. We will most likely look for something a couple years old with low mileage. If she could go back to work then she could buy a new one and I wouldn't care but with the expenses we have, I think something used would better fit what little is left in our budget.
