That looks very promising. I tried to look closely but couldn't really tell if there was much splatter or excess juice coming out of the end of the tube.

Dan, did you have a hard time controlling juice flow? Was it easy to give too much flow?

The key to getting good atomization and flavor is having precise control of how much juice is flowing through that tube.

I have found that I can tell by the sound it makes during atomization as to how much pressure to put on the liquid flow. I'm sure your not to that point yet, but you will see what I mean after you've done some more experiments.

Thanks for the video, that was great.

At first yeah, the splattering was from pushing to much juice at it and it overflowing and landing on the heating coil. The last juice push was alot steadier.

Here are a couple snap shots of your idea, one problem the center post on the male RCA is SOLID, so I had to drill it out with a 1/16" drill bit.

The other problem is this quartz is very fragile, so the connection with the rca if not careful can break it.
Here ya go....

Very nice Dan. Two things that would concern me though is having a baffle or indirect route of the vapor so it cant by chance shoot some hot juice or vapor into the mouth. Also, having that extreme heat so close to plastic may create plastic fumes. Just throwing it out there.

I like the idea of CLEAR too, you can troubleshoot and administer so much easier when you can see whats going on.

LOL check this out....

Mouthpiece by xacto, it fits perfectly! hehehehehe

LOL. Now that's pretty interesting. Totally clear. The guy standing next to you can see the liquid vaporize before his eyes.:D

Your RCA plug is quite a bit different than mine as far as the wire connection side. There is no strain relief on yours. Also the center post on mine is hollow. I'll try to get some pics up when I get home tonight.

Here is one similar:

Ahhh, but that's the best part! It's a good training tool. Get whacked a couple times with hot liquid and you'll start going easy on the pressure.:D

That is the beauty of the xacto cover, there are two holes on the side near the top that does not allow a direct path to the mouth :)

nico you would be very surprised at how quickly the heat drops off as you move away from the tube. Also as far as the glass goes the heat really does not travel far away from the coil area. I can heat my coil red hot and grab the tube with my fingers less than an inch away from the coil without burning my fingers. Yea I tried until I burnt them so I know.:)

Boy-Howdy that's the truth! Just a couple hits off of an original Wiz, with less-than-thin-juice provides TREMENDOUS incentive to learn to control the flow!

Thanks Dan-Fabulous video!

Jumping now with happiness at all of the amazing creativity and progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D
