Good to be back Surf...thanks.

Yeah, like C says, its a DC jack from my assortment of asinine shyt...but I dont know jack about it...cant find jill either. If it doesnt work I'll just put it in a box....and send it to C like the other junk I had.

Well..catch you guys later tonight...the fish at the C&O canal are calling to me...Eat me...Eat me...and I get enough of that at home so I throw sharp pointed things in the water at them to shut them up. Hmmmm...wonder if that will work here??

Thanks for the link C...but thats kinda out of my price range...:D

LOL, I thought it might be, that's why in the post before that I offered to send one if you needed it.:)

Anyhooo..... Just to show I'm not totally slacking off. I mentioned a method to help relieve the Wizard clogging issue. I've been using 6 * 1.2V batteries = 7.2V. The Wizard was actually designed to operate at 9V = 6 * 1.5V. The liquid we use tends to be a bit thicker and also contains flavoring and nicotine. For this reason we need some higher temperatures to insure complete atomization. Here is a modification you can do to accomplish the higher voltages/temperatures needed to keep the wizard from clogging up.

Don't have a lot of time right now but will get in to more details later if anyone needs them.
Goal: Allow adjustable voltage between 9V and 12V = more heat better atomization and less chance of clogging.

Items used:
Qty (1) Texas Intruments PTN04050C, Adjustable output step-up regulator:
Qty (1) 1.3k ohm resistor.
Qty (1) 2.5k ohm single turn potentiometer.
Qty (5) 14500 3.7V Li-ion 900MaHr batteries. Should be protected. Mine are not (cause I like to live dangerously):D.
Qty (1) Wizard battery holder modified from series to parallel battery connections.

Here is the modified battery case from the Wizard including the step-up regulator (not pretty.... was in a hurry).

What ya been up to C?? Any progress I can copy..er...uh...I mean look at?

LOL, not much nico. Things have been crazy around here. Never enough time to do anything I want to do. Always have to do something for, or with one of the kids. People getting married people having babies, damn grass won't quit growing. Just all around PITA. A day doesn't go by that I don't get told what we need to do for the next week. I just look dumbfounded and say, yea OK whatever.
Eventually I'll just lock myself in the workshop and not come out for a few days.:)

Hopefully Dan or SV have been hacking away on something.

You know we have been focusing totally on using the glass tube as the atomizer. There is no reason we couldn't use the nichrome coil similar to a standard atty and allow the glass to be the delivery system. If you were to wind the coil close to the end of the glass tube and keep winding upward but smaller diameter past the end of the tube. It seems that any liquid exiting to tube should be instantly atomized by the coil. I don't know, just throwing some thoughts out there.

I'm going to try to get back to this shortly. Thanks for checking in.:D

I know what you mean about the grass...hell...I even threw some ground up shyt stuff (fertilizer I think its called)on it and it grew faster...go figure. I gotta go back up to PA next month for my niece's wedding too...its cool though, biker wedding so I dont have to dress up!:D

I had thought about something like that on "saving a wickless atty" too, having this small glass tube stick through the silicone plug right to the coil but I think without a wick there would be flooding..dunno. I have to get some boxes or something to finish that one...just been trying to avoid boxy boxes.

I just did my rig...8 windings of 38ga and used a 18650 to fire it. I didnt think it was cooking and I looked over it to see if the coil was hot and about that time I saw the coil get red hot and the damned thing about spit in my eye...right up in behind my glasses...the rotten foocar!! But thats about all it did, no matter how fast or slow I fed the juice most spit out even with a doubled up 40ga wetting wire in it. I think this connector keeps me from spreading the coil out...its all in about 1/4" spot of tube. It did put out a little vapor trail though, but it was messy. Back to the drawing board!! And my soldering iron died...had to use my 150/230watt gun...but it was quick!

Wait...this product is safe for kids to play with? It has Propolyn Glycol in it and producers way more vapor than any VP I have ever seen! OMG! Why hasn't the FDA and EPA jumped all over this?! This could be extremely dangerous! They sell it to kids! Next thing you know they'll be selling them with colored vapor and aromas and taste! I am telling you this is a gateway device to more harmful products! Like mouthwash and toothpaste!
Oh GOD!!!! I mean come on.......last time I checked this is America and if you have enough brains to read this forum,,,then we really don't need YOU or anyone else for that matter to start crying about safety!!! I mean, it IS a toy, it's not sold as:rolleyes: a PV!!

Geez.....touchy touchy.......Apparently I am not the one who CAN"T take a joke!!

And the Joke was where?
Apparently you over reacted thinking the OP was serious.
No harm no foul, just read the full context before jumping on people.

"This is a gateway device to more harmful products! Like mouthwash and toothpaste"... chuckle... rich.

Hmmmm,,,,,,,really?? WOW! Thanks for letting me know what was going through my head...I just don't know what I would do without someone approving my thoughts and actions ahead of time....I mean come on, I guess I will just read and not interrupt anyone, joke or not....The last thing I was trying to do was upset someone....but I guess you must have already known that, since you can apparently read my mind....(a PV with mind-reading ability?! I already want one!! What size batt. does it use?!)
No really, sorry to be out of line and subject!...Just trying to amuse myself I guess....Sorry to offend!! crawling back in my hole now! keep up the good work!! bye!;)

JJ... I apologize for assuming that you were not joking, but if one looks at your post it is hard to tell if that was indeed the case. Except for the roll eyes emoticon which shows sarcasm and not necessarily that one is joking, it could be interpreted as hostile. Thats the problem with forums and blogs, without hearing voice tones and such it can be deceiving. I in fact had to take another look at 420's post back when she posted it originally also. If I didnt know the fact that there is PG already in mouthwash and toothpaste, I would have though she was serious.

But hey...no big deal man...no problems here. Enjoy the forum, dont crawl back in a hole.LOL

Yep, the internet is hard to decipher tones. :) Sorry for overreacting to the extent I did, your outrage seemed genuine at the time. :D

Also: sorry for participating in a topic hijack, shutting up now.
