It sounds to me like its getting too hot. Most commercial fog fluids are 30% to 70% distilled water and the rest PG / VG. As you add more water to PG the flash temperature goes up. If the unit is designed at too high a temp, you can get problems with things actually burning. With organics, this normally means you make tar which would build up and make a mess.

Try adding more water in some juice or possibly lowering the voltage slightly to see what happens at a lower temp.

As I understand it, the fog fluids are a very small percentage distilled water, mostly(70%+) pg/vg. Personal experience has shown me that if the juice gets too thin in a wizard, it just makes light steam, not much fog. I have already clogged one wiz with tar. Charged has been having good results(no tar build up) with actually raising the voltage.

Sorry folks been out of comission for a while. Birthdays/Weddings/Fundraisers/health crap. But I'm back and ready to do some more fiddling.

Nico you're too funny. Thanks for kicking the door. Yea the modded HV wizard has been performing flawlessly. 3 weeks and counting. Still going strong. For this reason I've been a little lax in my ongoing efforts.

natura, I've signed all petitions, left comments, called and emailed my legislators. Snail mail went out yesterday, so yea, I'm on the tails of these buttholes. I'm also stocking up just in case. I now have 400ml of 100mg/ml nic juice and a couple gallons of PG and VG on hand.

No time to play nico..... I have another ... wedding to attend again this weekend and it's about 4 hours away. Really a big PITA. Then moms day BS. Family is just too big. I thought I was going to be free this weekend but the ole lady dropped the bomb and says how could you forget we have to go to blaaablaablaa. Gave her a stamp and she just gave me the EYE.

Maybe take a day off work and play this week.

Yeah I know the feeling...I'm headed back up to PA in two weeks for my nieces wedding. UPDATE!:

The next step:
Using the flexible tubing from a 14" scripto fireplace lighter, I was able to plumb the tubing all the way upto the top, so you only need about an inch of 1mm quartz tubing.

I did as Charged suggested and added the 2000 degree gasket goop to the heating element. I also only used enough nichrome wire to equal 2.4ohms.

Assembled Running on USB 5vdc power
