Morning all! Today is a mixed vape mail day. There's another Tornado nano arriving, a bunch of additional flavorings from ecigexpress, and some more coils to play with for my Ultimo, which is turning out to be an OK tank with the rewickable notch coil and a nice Pico size. So chemistry lab is open this afternoon for mixing concoctions.

Tomorrow, my Boreas will land. Looking forward to seeing how that one works out. I'm so happy I decided I was all done with stocking up and didn't have to buy anything more.

So I'm also thinking I need another inexpensive beater mod. Turns out the Presa I got it is better than expected, and TC on it is pretty good. Now I'm thinking "why not an RX200s?". It's only $40, and will give me a ton of battery life either for TC or more likely the higher wattage on some of these new DLer type tanks. I already have several DNAs, but no multibattery beater. That, or a black Clouper Plus I saw on sale for $25. Don't know much about the Clouper's, but $25 is an awfully good price for a dual 18650 box.

If you are thinking of the RX200s, may I suggest you might consider the RX2/3 instead?

I've read about issues changing between 2 and 3 battery mode, with either door switch problems or proper contact for the batteries. Given that, I like the form factor with 3 batteries anyway, and it's cheaper, I thought I'd grab that. That Clouper has me tempted too but I can't find a lot to read on it.

You should, it's VERY funny! One of my favorites!

On a vaping note, I'm about to throw these Goblin mini clones out the window. I put coils in one yesterday, and the screws hold the coil legs just FINE now (the replacement decks that FT sent me), but the resistance is still jumping all over the place. From .46 to 1.83 was the total range yesterday. Just tapping the fire button on the mod I had the base on, with NO OTHER MOVEMENT, it would go from .56 to 1.2 back to .69 to .49 to 1.56 to 1.83 to .72 and on and on. I had Rich play with it to see if it's just my electric personality that was affecting it, and it was doing it to him, too. Nothing is touching anything, I mean the coil isn't touching and shorting anywhere. Once I hit the fire button and it said "check atomizer," but hitting it again right away it read up over 1.0 ohms. I DO NOT GET IT. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is. Or there's some problem with this base and I don't see it (and neither does Rich).

I really wanted to try these because they're supposed to be good flavor tanks, but I haven't even been able to get to the point of wicking them yet. I fussed over this thing WAY too long yesterday and gave myself a stiff neck from the tension and stress.

Oh, and when I just said to heck with it and tried firing it to glow the coils, one coil heats up first, then the other one, and the first one glows brighter throughout the burn. Is that a clue to what my problem might be? I know it's not normal, but I don't know what it means, or what's causing it.

The slower to glow coil either has a bad connection or is higher in resistance.

Sorry, I just realized Rich asked this on the other thread, and I think what the problem might be is I screwed the screws down too tight and cut the wire partially. The coils are still in there solid, but I guess if it's partially cut, the resistance will jump around like that. So I'll re-do them today and not tighten as much and see if that makes a difference. Thanks!
