More like Dark and Early here.
Man talk about a crazy week. Haven't had much time to play on the forums, work is keeping me busy. And today is gonna be anudder crazy day. Probably tomorrow too. But hopefully it'll all be worth it soon, mebbe some good things coming from the craziness of this week.
Yep dark and early here too. Awakened by the chirp of a dying smoke alarm.
Was in a drawer???
Why would I have put one in a drawer?

Dentists?
Little shop of Horrors!
newp.......that was at least a cute if totally goofy movie. Dentists are just horrors period! I love a line from MASH when Charles had a toothache. He said that they subject you to practices that have remained largely unimproved since the Spanish Inquisition.

I guess I'm weird cause I love going to the dentist. Lying back in that chair having my teeth cleaned and that wonderful feeling afterwards. Lol. Yes, I'm strange.

my sil is like that. She'll go to sleep in the dentist chair. I get sick to my stomach from the smell as soon as I walk in. When my son was little and I'd take him.....they knew how phobic I was so they told me if you have to go outside for a minute......just let us know and we'll keep an eye on him. My son would just sit there and play with the toys. I'd run outside, gulp down air and smoke a cig real fast while trying to gather the courage to go back in there.

Do y'all just not need more milk cows since ya can't sell the milk?

We have two, and it's not so much the milk as the space. We set this place up for ONE COW (yes, I was stoopidly thinking we'd only ever have one), but two will fit OK. Three is pushing it, however, Cricket just turned 8 years old, and we're going to keep her next heifer as a replacement milker. The only reason we didn't keep Crissie is that she's got way too much Angus in her, and beef cows don't usually continue making milk after their calves are weaned. Dairy breeds will, and Cricket is 3/4 Jersey. Her baby will be half(ish) Jersey, like Bandit was, and will make a good amount of milk, and continue to make milk for months after her calf is weaned. It costs a lot to feed and maintain a cow, and when you're not getting milk back in return, it hurts a little. Even if I have too MUCH milk, I can always feed the other critters with it, so none of it ever goes to waste.

Uh, no. ;) Wisconsin is the biggest dairy state, and Big Milk doesn't want us little farmers cutting into their profits. I can sell milk here, actually, as long as it's from our place and I don't make a big production out of it. SD banned raw milk being sold from dairies, but the person with "only a few cows" was exempted. At least in practice. Lots of people over in the Black Hills sell their cows' milk, and it's fine. They make a pretty penny, too, because most of the people that live over there have more money than brains. ;) I don't have the customer base out here to sell much. One neighbor gets a gallon or two A MONTH (yeah, big milk drinkers, huh?) but I barter him the milk because he brings us a round bale of hay now and again when we're short on our regular hay. Or like this summer, when we were so dry the pastures died. Oh, they're greening up NOW, of course, since it started raining again, but winter's just around the corner and they'll be covered in snow soon enough.

Not surprised. Same law as here, then. Of course, how could they enforce it otherwise?:lol::lol: Analogies.

Just realized that my laptop isn't charging. I checked a different outlet and it's not working on that one either, so it's likely the cord. We'll have to get a cord for this one or for my son's laptop, so dunno how long I'll be off. Gonna shut it down now

"Hi, I'm from Corporate and I'm here to help. I know you have tons of work to do today, so I'm going to keep stopping you and waste several hours of your day by engaging in chit chat about topics that have nothing to do with tomorrow's customer visit that you are trying to prepare for."

I just wish he'd leave me the frick alone until tomorrow, when he needs to be here. Today I have too much work to do. Speaking of, guess lunchtime is about over, back to work, if I can get away from Mr Gabfest.

You guys wanna see something funny? This happened yesterday when I was futzing around with those Goblin mini decks. I dropped my roll of wire as I was unwinding some, caught it before it hit the floor, but NOT before it went SPROING!
    09-14-16 UhOh wire accident.jpg

It's almost completely beyond my ability to untie a knot in my shoelaces, and there was no way I was gonna be able to fix that mess, so I just sat there yelling for Rich to come help me (I was holding it so no MORE wire would unwind). He finally heard me, came up from the basement, took one look and burst out laughing, then grabbed the camera. This was one of my Stoopid Things. ;)

I should get some o' those spool tamer thingies, what do you think?
