Ahhhhhhhhhhh, 1960......................

What a year. Exodus came out on the big screen. That masterpiece shot with some special 70mm camara or something. What an event it was to see that on the big screen.

Wait................oh crap I wasn't even born yet.

So years later I read Exodus and watched the movie on whatever I had, prolly a 27" CRT. Good book, ok movie but lost to time was those vista's of Israel.

Oh well I've always thought anything after 1960 sucked anyway.

But wait there's more................

So I'm looking atmy 70" LED thinking hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm..................

So I reread Exodus, I have the book still but honestly I got it for my Kindle.

Couldn't find the movie to stream anywhere so I had to rock it old school and buy a DVD. Wasn't even sure I still had a DVD player but one of the streaming boxes has one and it seems to work.

70" TV hooked to a 7000 brazillion kilowatt HT and I'm going back to 1948 via 1960 per Otto Preminger
Love the movie. All my dvd's are in my sil's garage, but used to always watch it at least once a year.

Speaking of Exodus (not the movie mentioned above though)

"37 The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Sukkoth...
38 Many other people went up with them"

Hmmm, interesting. History repeats itself.
huh? Didn't quite understand what you were saying.

Everyone has gone :(

True. Maybe they'll venture back?
I doubt it, not with the new founder.
Good point. (note to self, think before clicking post:facepalm:)
I'm just in a low place right now, I probably shouldn't even be posting on here.
That is what happens when you are Brit and take up residence on a board that is mostly American. Can't help you, but I know that you can find a creative solution.
I have to disagree, where we live has nothing to do with a forum that the world has access too, maybe you can explain a bit more if I'm missing what you are saying.

Nothing other than night-time vs daytime. But I understand that sometimes you work during the night. If feeling lonely is because Emily and Rich and kids are gone, yes, that can hurt.

Oh , see I'm not in a good place to post, I can name 10 members that left with him and Cromwell, this place used to be buzzin, day or night has nothing to with that, it's like a ghost town no matter what time it is.

In fact it doesn't matter, I feel about as welcome here as they did, probably why they left in the first place.

Moving on.

Don't feel unwelcome. You're quite welcome, and being in a low place right now is utterly understandable. You should take whatever time you need for yourself, but remember there are folks around here who enjoy chatting with you and with time, I hope this place can bring you some enjoyment. There are people here who care.

You are Always welcome, and this is NOT the only thread on ECF. Threads come and go, as do some members, seen it since 2009, yes I'm OLD. Sometimes it is over childish things, or a member they don't like, or a mod did this or that, but the forum goes on. I lurk mostly, read a lot, type a little (I hate typing ). If this thread dies, so be it, go to another. Tootle puffers thread has a lot of nice folks. I am in lots of threads, just look around, introduce yourself, I am SURE you will be welcome in any thread you decide to go to. Keep your chin up, everything will be alright.
