Hello All,

I'm new to these forums, but I know the power of the interwebz and I wanted to give all of you a heads up bout a very sneaky company out there known as "Vaporin."

Essentially, they emailed an ad claiming they would ship a "Starter Kit" for me to try out their product if I paid shipping costs, totaling $4.95. The kit contained 3 e-juices so I was pretty happy even if the vape pen was garbage (which it was). As you can imagine, I was pretty surprised when I looked at my CC statement 2 weeks later and found there to be a subsequent charge of $119.95. Evidently I had unwittingly checked a box signing up for a "trial offer" and if I did not call within 14 business days they would charge me the full amount and set up my account for auto payment for future orders of over-priced e-juices and atomizers. ($80 for 2 e-juices and 2 atomizers?? RIP OFF). I called the company back and said I can return their POS pen, charger and everything else and I need my money refunded. The 3 reps I spoke with were super rude and basically told me there is nothing they can do to help , even if I send their crap back at my own expense. Now granted, I feel pretty stupid for not reading all of the fine print, but in reviewing the email sent this particular VERY important piece of info was BURIED and not easily identifiable. In looking up this company on the BBB website, i found there to be numerous other complaints regarding the same exact "bait and switch" issue.

/END RANT/

You cats are probably a lot more savvy with this vaping stuff than I am, but i still wanted to let the community know about this and give all of you good folks a heads up.

DO NOT USE VAPORIN!! Misleading advertising combined with horrible customer service = an experience I wish I could take back.

Thanks for reading this far! vape ON.

99% of those free just pay shipping promotions will automatically enroll you in future shipments. I use to work for a company that was very heavy in those advertisements. People that called in to order where told in mandatory script verbatim, there would be subsequent shipments/charges and most still were shocked when they got nailed. Those that did website ordering always claimed to never see the fine print even when there was a box to check before ordering. It's in our nature to skim past the fine print stuff and hurry along with what we were doing prior.

I personally never use any free trial or free product offers because there is usually a loop hole built in for customer retention. It's one of those live and learn experiences, my wife has a hard time learning and it severely annoys me.
